I return to the BYOND world once again when in a time of need... lol.
Anyway, lately my ISP (at least, I guess it's my ISP... lol) has been pissing me off.
Limewire has stopped being able to connect at all, Azureus vuze has an extremely weak connection (as in, it's been working on downloading a file for the last 4 days... sure it's not a small file, but still, used to be it wouldn't take more than just an hour or so) with constant yellow smiley and the occasional red, and all my other P2P programs are also in the stages of dying.
I've tried port forwarding, shutting off my firewall altogether, etc, with no noticeable results. And I know it's not because I'm classified as a "leacher" or anything, because I'm sharing over 600 files and torrents (movies, music, and a few games). Of course, although the occasional download gets through, I have experienced 0 uploads since this whole problem started.

Any ideas?

I was hoping for a little bit more of a challenge than when I was just in Basic Programming last year, but there is none. While we are actually doing real programming this year rather than just that visual basic shit, I still already know all this. I've already went through half the book, so I have no homework or classwork until January. Possibly never if I go ahead and finish the book off.

If so, can you send me an invite? Like, seriously. My flash drive is almost out of room, so I need some other form of storage to/from school :S

I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep, when the thought hit me : Why is graphic violence legal to be shown on tv and be depicted to minors, while nudity/sex is an instant Mature/Adults Only/NC17/etc rating?

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it generally wanted for the kids to grow up and have sex and continue the population, and discouraged for them to grow up and perform a Texas Chainsaw Massacre?

If I was to walk up to my mum and ask her if she'd rather I screw my girlfriend or take a machete to some poor guy's jugular, do you know what she'd say? Well, after she recovered from the shock she'd slap me and tell me to wash my mouth out with soap. But the point still stands that she'd rather I had sex, so long as it's safer sex.

Which brings me to my next point. Such a thing exists as safer sex, but I have yet to hear of anything called safer homicide.

While I am by no means blaming the violence in today's society on the media (while the media may play a role in it, I also blame bad parenting, poor school systems, etc), perhaps if society was to reverse it's outlook to something that actually makes more sense, we'd see an improvement in society.
Besides, we all know there isn't a teen alive with access who hasn't watched porn anyways.

Why exactly am I receiving this? For whatever reason, PayPal says "no new items" in the recent transaction history, so either PayPal messed up in my favour, or something else.

Either way, for the moment, I'm $20 richer.
