It's ugly I know, but its my first attempt at movement on PhotoShop, you skilled Pixel Artist's who do use PhotoShop for Shading, and Movement, tips plxorz? :)..

Btw, I just added a Patern Layer to give it some "life"

He's running way to fast, and a way to do it(So you cna see him move) is make him all a dark grey, then outlines black, so it would redefine it, and also if its gonna be that big, have its delay when moving REALLY slow, or have a bunch of different walking states.

To make it look like he's actually walking/running you could/should use a outlining thats either darker or light because otherwise it looks like what you have there, as if it just dissapears, the outlining will make your movements easier to see, and yeah it should be a bit slower when using Photoshop you can also make a delay in the Animation box.

Tain't oogly. It's a cool character design. Is it yours?
I like the face. The hollow chest, too.

I don't know if the body is too dark. I think you could pull off a really cool animation just with a silouette, so, I'm not sure you should necessarily change that.

You do, however have some speed/frame problems.

Now, it's not from the same perspective as yours, but check out what Bacca sez about tweening frames. Right now, you've got some pretty good 'key' frames. These are the frames that you've drawn the figure where you want them to end up. They're like waypoints sort of for the arms, legs and body. Now you've gotta add the frames inbe'tween' those keyframes to show how the arms, legs, and body got there.

Check out my WIP in Evi's epic battle challenge for another example of key frames with no tweening (not that it's a great piece or anything, it just shows animation with no smoothing or tweening frames between).

As for photoshop: you got me. I have no kidneys to spare for the buying of that (and I don't like ripping apps, even from Adobe). Gimp, as much as I love the thing, has a sucky built in animation plug-in. I prefer Graphics Gale for that.

The hollow he has is Fishbone D. That would be the Hollow from the First Episode.
