and it made me cry that Sony didn't think of it the second all the awesome fighting games that will be made for it flashed through my mind.

However, I laughed at all the stupid ideas Microsoft used for the commercial. srsly, a racing game without a controller? Plus, how is an FPS going to work without a controller?
Yeah im not interested about kinect on the new xbox 360, is all about the wifi mang.
I highly doubt that the kinect will work like xbox is saying it will. Sounds like the PS2 eyetoy which was an epic failure.

With the introduction of this I predict a lot more exercising/waving your hands in the air like a madman games.

The days when gaming consoles start to focus on this are the day I weep for humanity...

You see Jeff, they aren't going to make actual games for this addition, they're going to make things which ultimately sum up to "get fit now" apps. It's a bigger Wii Fit. =/

That and just overall casual games. It won't be much better than the Wii, I foresee. So many genres just don't work for this kind of stuff, they need controllers. As amazingly cool as this Kinect thing may be, I don't see it going very far. Until we can all afford to build extensions onto our houses for full virtual reality environments, I don't even see virtual reality in any form really getting past stuff like this. Regardless, it's still really cool. Hopefully someone comes up with something creative and cool other than... Zumba Party.

Virtual Reality only need be an unconscious state where things are uploaded directly into our brains. THe entire room thing isn't feasible, no matter how big the world, you're still going to walk into a wall at some stage.

WHAT REALLY I SAW PS2 EYETOY ON A COMMERCIAL LIKE IN 2005 IT LOOKS AWESOME SO IT SUCKED HUH?

THAT SUCKS

BIG HAIRY YUCKY BALLS

I don't think Microsoft is intending for it to go anywhere further. They just care about getting all of the moms that use wiifit to come buy an Xbox instead.

Clearly you aren't a fan of Star Trek. In Star Trek they used forcefields for the ground so the ground moved as you did. And inertial controls to make sure forces pulled correctly. That way when you ran at full speed, it felt exactly right, but you were still in a rather small room.
*cough*wii
Kinect wont have first person shooters, it's just for casual games.
Fighting games, Kay.

Have fun charging your KI on the next DBZ. *looks like he's sitting on the toilet8

._.

In all seriousness, Kinect is all hype.

PS Move is a Wii-rip off.

The only difference is, PS move is made for Hardcore gamers.

Kinect is for is casual games.

Off-Topic;
Why is Ryuk25 such an idiot? Is he bobbyawesome?

I was thinking actual fighting, not DBZ fighting.

I promise you that won't be as good either and will probably make you look like an idiot.

Do you really want company to come in while you've got some invisibly person in a headlock? D:
PS Move has Alot of potential more then kinect, But Sony Failed to make anyone unpressed in the hardcore genre. Kinect, what can i say, It's just aiming at the casuals like what they said.

But What would the consumer rather buy?:

Kinect - $150 (Just the Camera)

Or

A Package Deal of $99
(Comes with The Eye toy, PS Move controllers, and 1 Game).

I'm not interested anyways, until I Test them out first, then I'll think about it
Kinect needs a "Hole in the Wall" game:

Or is it "Human Tetris"?

$150. Most of those demos appear to be using two wands. Package only comes with with the eyetoy, wand, and navigation controller. A lot of things they showed off were using two wands. Now multiply that for how ever many people you want to play with. They're both expensive.

They also fly big-ass ships around the universe faster than the speed of light.

I'm a big fan of Star Trek, I just don't see it happening.
