Isometric Man and Woman- C&C Wanted in Art & Sound

I have been trying to work on some isometric icons and find them difficult. I wanted a base man and woman to start that would be easy to identify and relatively easy to modify for clothing and gear. Starting from the outlines on an iso guide, I started work. Here is my first attempt:


The face coloration really needs work, but I am kind of stuck. I want to keep the color count low. My next task will be a walk animation, which should prove fairly difficult :-)

Hmm, displays fine for me and is stored on mt BYOND site without any restriction, so I am not sure what the problem is.

Oh damn, my internet has been quite slow lately, I was impatient and replied before it loaded.

As for the bases themselves, the perspective seems good though there are some points you might want to play with. For example the woman's breasts, the line on the right should really only be used for the bottom half, as it is now they seem far too large (unless that was your intention). I would also maybe try and pull the woman's right leg apart maybe one more pixel, they seem a tad bit too close together and i think it may look better if you kept the mans arm straight and removed the definition on his calf muscles, they're looking almost as thick as his thigh.

As for the shading, it seems a bit too desaturated, I would experiment with higher saturation for the darker shades as well as perhaps a greater shift in the hue this might help it pop a bit more.

I hope some of that helps, I didn't have time to try the suggestions out myself (nor did I ask for permission to alter these) so i may be off the mark with some of them. Best of luck with them mate.

P.S. An isometric walk animation sounds pretty interesting and I'd be interested in seeing how it turns out.
