Ok, well i found a fond interest of putting my thoughts into music through the Noteworthy program. And came up with this little number. Iunno, it's pretty easy and fun. Took like ten minutes or something to do that partial midi. Too bad the programs only a sample- but atleast i can turn this little melody into guitar, drums, or whatever later on.

And as for the times. Man, getting into college is expensive. To get into Texas Art Ins. i've got to get loans, grants, poverty grants, rewards and actually work hard. I might add the school costs 73,600 something for a bachelors degree. But i can do a poster contest on national and local level for a 5000 prize, which i plan to win- since even the examples they had shown during my tour of the school were inferior to some of the posters i do already for my friends' bands and what not.

Anyways, tell me what you think of my little test midi. Also, maybe you should try it to, it's pretty time consuming and entertaining at that.
Well, aside from graphics- i've been trying to come up with concepts for different systems. One that's been in my attention is vision. Vision based on direction, distance, and attributes to be exact. What i've come up with is a set of 20 gradients and an idea that a light source changes its surroundings by subtracting the total light value to determine how much light is darkened. Of course this isn't original, and everyone else has already thought of it, but i'm wondering if it's logical.

I'm not sure if it would be uber laggy, and cause the game complete shutdown- or later in opacity of next version just blow up a game.

This would be the downward view, at complete darkness of night. This is set values ranging from 1-20. 21 would be black and 0 being no dither, but i didnt put it in the image. I've made a set of digits symbolizing position of different dithers, at all directions.

Oh, and this view is also basically looking over your shoulder, just to make it not so annoying. Behind you is your real blind spot. Although, as objects and enemies come around- it would be great if the objects were unidentifiable with a shady version that changes as it circles you, not too many states. And just vanishes at blind spots behind you and to ear angles. This would allow for different skills of stealth, sneak attacks, etcetera.

At different times the dither value would be reduced thus allowing even more to be clearly seen, at night- the opposite. Torches, light posts, etc would also reduce the value, and maybe add alterations in the light color itself with RGB.

Anyways, this would also be able to allow blinding of one or both eyes and reflecting that on the screen. All of this would be basically altering a few basic values of the default dither overlay.

I don't know, i just felt like posting something i was wondering about ,if this is plausable or even pointless. That's all.

As the title suggests, i'm lazy. For my laziness, not only are the provided graphics not at the tip-top shape i could possibly make them, i'm slacking off like usual - taking lengthly breaks of doing nothing.

Anyways. Hurm. From now on i might just go to work on personal graphics that I myself find to be quality material- enough to fill a game if one was to make one, and then release it in bulk.

Should have done it in the first place, so it's not much a sense of waiting. Considering this started off as just a hobby which i was expecting to collapse in a day or two after i decided to do it.

So, i think i'll just work on "Sets" of graphics, then release them like that. I'm already slow enough as it is, which is a reason i wouldn't hold a real job if this were one to begin with- but atleast i'll be planning them out and not rushing them.

Also, go ahead and suggest anything you want- i can still read them and know what i'm missing in a game.

Well that's it basically, sucks if you've been waiting for weeks for a measly tidbit of graphics. Besides, they wouldn't have been that good anyways when i just do it because i have to.
(PS: Also, i've added a new forum section. This way you dont have to rely on just me for help. If anyone out there desires to help out with others, go ahead and submit your works to the "General" Section. This will be for anything you want. This section will contain a sub-section for posting your works for those who request them. Use any means of file hosting, like Photobucket, and post them up for those in need.)
Well, i've been developing a game inside my head recently, i've got a few systems down, just gotta fix some bugs and then i can put it on the brain hub for everyone to think of and imagine. Hur's a mental picture of me fishing in my hardened leather, mail legs, and cloth shoes! Har har- Taste the red drum fish.

(Edit: Oh, and just for those who are wondering, no these aren't the turfs i've posted, and i might not post them. They're something i've been developing on the side- not really for everyone to have.)

|||||FILE NOT FOUND|||||

I kid. I wish it were that simple. No, i've been busy. I'm almost disappointed at how i've almost gotten nothing done graphics wise for people to use. Not only am i lazy, if this were a job, i'd be fired. Whereas i spend my free time doing what i truly love, playing games, and the rest of my time constantly getting new projects (For example a giant poster board composite with essay and speech), that's my only excuse.

If anything, i should be spending my free time learning to code. It would be much more productive.

On another note, what i have been trying to make, are turfs. Turfs are my obsession. I've been trying to get the perfect curves/bends/angles/realistic malformations/cliffs/etc. I want a perfect environment, but it seems somewhat difficult. And as many comments come about, "Hell for a mapper"

Soon, i hope, i'll get out of my lazy habbits and get to work. Really though, if this were a job i'd be homeless.

{And no, this isn't a real game. Har har.)

That's all, really. Really is, that's it. Yup that's it. Nothing more to see here. Not a thing. Ok. Bye. Later. Adios.
Just a little update. Didn't really have much time to spend, i mean; barely any. Anyways. I made a couple of home objects, to be placed on the insides of buildings and what not. A chair, a table, and a dresser. Sorry i can't add more. I'll do some when i have the time. Man, sad how i can't even do a couple of props.

Anyways, there's also the new textures. I haven't made any blending additions to the textures. But whatever. They're better then the old ones in my opinion, so that's all that counts.

Meager, but i hope it helps.
Well, i haven't posted any new information, updates, or changes recently; and i'll tell you why- Let's dive into the world known as "Personal Life".

As mentioned i'm human too, i learn, i age, and i do homework. I'm currently trying to balance school, work, and homework together while piecing what spare time i have for relaxation and going out; I'm barely spending any time doing graphics.

I'm going to have free time, eventually. But sadly i've got another project, a reading assignment. Great, what joy. Read a book that was meant to span over the summer, and do it in a week.

Anyways, if any of you actually cared, that's the reason why i'm not really on a first priority alert on making graphics. It was just unlucky for you guys, and me, that i started this whole project right before school started.

~ Ok, that's out of the way!

Anyways, i hate to admit it, but yes- as pointed out, sadly, my strong suite is terrains. environmental objects aren't something i've practiced on over the summer of my idle state- all i did was remake turfs over and over until i got the hang of it. Doesn't mean i can't do them! No, not by a long shot. I started off with objects and character icons. It's just that it's not as easy. And i'm, as stated, a lazy guy.

Anyways. I'm trying to get the requested terrains, buildings, and misc environmental objects completed. They all look good, in my opinion, but i'm taking it slow.

I'm redoing the turfs i've made, as they were commented to be too grainy. I reviewed them and decided: Ew. Ok, well, yea, i think the ground you walk on is more important then the branch you trip over, but they go together harmoniously-if that's even a word. So once i get these turfs remade, and out of the way, i'll go out of my regular daily rut to actually think of what would go in an environment, and make some things like barrels, crates, twigs, cracks, rocks, trees, pine cones, leafs, flowers, etc.

That's that.

Onto other news.

I still need suggestions! Just because i'm busy, doesn't mean i need ideas! I'm not psychic, tell me what you want.

Also, if anyone wants to help out and submit your own public contributions. Join up! Put up an example in the "Private Works" Section; the area of the forums dedicated to work that ISN'T meant to be used publicly, and if they do- may they burn. Then after submitting so i know if i'd be happy to host your publications you can ask if you want to help out. Or if you were just posting in that topic to show off, i'll ask if i think you could contribute nicely.

This way we have multiple styles of artwork, and makes it easier on me- while providing more variety to those in need.

Well, i'm ranting again. This should be enough for now.

Later folks.
I had a little while to spare some time to do some graphics after waking up- before i had to get back to other work. So i started with the basic stuff. I did some lightning effects for you, a decent spell graphic if you use it. <strike>And i did a very very basic squared tile and squared walls, as an arena and walls for a game.</strike>

In the lightning the red highlighted areas defines what will be repeated, that kind of V shape for any of the following lightning bolts. The green indicates the starting point. And the orange, for diagonal only, indicates what part you could use if you wanted to have the effect look better, by attaching it to the end of the bolt. You can use a randomizer of sorts to animate the bolts by constantly putting random selections of the replicatable parts to make it look alive. [I had originally made an end piece, where the bolts merge. But i decided against adding it into the pack, as it would make it wierd if it were animated

That's all, Yo.
- Karnlor

[Edit: Removed the Arena set, i didn't like it. and it had a flaw.]
[Edit Edit: PS- I wonder if that's too many bolts for a single electric spell o.o]

Well, it's not much. But i added two more roof styles. Direct top-view, and an alteration of that view to create another form of frontal view. (See the new example image for details on alteration between top-view to frontal.

Also, these new roofs use a new texture. I don't know if it's any better or worse.

I'll be trying to get some objects done soon, but not until i catch up on older requests. And yea, i'm still stuck on my slow schedule, alternating between work and, well, work (This).

So this new roof should be easier to use.
Yes i find it joyful supplying people with graphics. But i've got homework. And homework waits for no one, espcially a failing grade.

Personal issues aside, i'm still working on some sets, but they'll be slowing down for a few, since i've got things to do. Once i finish i'll go back to my regular, moderately-slow pace.

However, i'm still up to the idea of having some people join up in the guild and help me contribute by contributing themselves, making graphics from the same requests and even just their own imagination, that can be an alternative to my graphics if people don't like what they see, or like the other artist's style more. So if anyone's in the charitable mood, and is good at what they do- Post an example and join up!.

Anyways. Yea. So i'll finish up a few more graphics, and slow down a bit. So if you start wondering "Hm, why's it taking a day to do a couple of graphics?" That's because i have alot of homework, a job, and most importantly, i'm self paced.

But don't fret, it'll only be for a few days. So it's no biggie. [I'm posting about this because people are already asking me where the rest of what they requested is XD]
I think this is kinda fun, really. I get home- do a couple of sets, which hopefully are beneficial to those who need them. I'm probably posting too much, making up for lost time not having a membership in the past.. But it's so entertaining!

Anyways, so far so good. I've finished a few more graphics and updated the forum listings. Added a hud which can be used for most natural settings, i suppose. Also, i've updated a few things.

Trying to get a good CSS. I've got Digital Samurai, and i really appreciate it, helping me out with it. All those spiffy CSS pages, it made me jealous. I'm still on the hunt for the illusive guy or gal who bought me the membership in the first place- a really cool gesture.

And yea, i'll keep saying this. Keep the suggestions coming in! [Put them in the forums, and join the guild while your at it =)]

[For the rankings, the roof set seems to be far more popular than the rest, with around a couple of hundred hits, with the others at only half that. Hope you guys use the roofs well!]
