Its pointless to continue typing, because I know, no matter what, most talent will ignore this, or judge me as another failure in the making. I cant convince you otherwise, not until the future, when you'll regret not being a part of cool people. =D

I've recently got back in touch with an old friend. Shes about my age and well, In my opinion she is -very- shallow. Interested in only remedial adolescent things. I want to open Her mind to the Depth of Life, and all things around her. Although she is academically smart, I know for a fact reading a book on her own would NOT be a choice. Buuuuttt I think I can swing one her way and shell read it. That is, if its not a hard read and very interesting.

So now I'm down to choosing a book to suggest. Of course, I'd have to read it first. Something easy to read and Mind opening.

What do you guys think?

An experienced programmer and unless you're 20 years of age or somewhat professional compared to most people around here I'd like if you at least were interested in anime so I know for a fact you'd stay dedicated to the project.

And please tell me about any diseases you have ahead of time. I'm not trying work with any more lunatics with ADD, AHAD, Dyslexia or whatever else is out there. Unless you can control yourself...

Please don't "yo" or "u" me and make sure you have good experience with programming icons, thats the reason I'm putting up money and can't grab any ordinary programmer. I'm looking for rational normal human beings with good online time and high success rates when it comes to finishing projects. Me and my pixel artists have enough icons to run an alpha testing and I'd probably be annoyed if we fell short because of need for a competent programmer.

If you look good I'll add your name to a list and contact you later on.

Game Concept: Death Note

Death Note is an anime series I was first skeptical about watching, but once I did, it was a life changer. For those who are not familiar with the series, I'll summarize the plot of the show.

Light Yagami is an incredibly smart high schooler who believes in the eradication of all criminals. Light happens to find a notebook called a "death note". Death notes are tools used by death gods to take the life of humans. Light uses to note book to kill off all criminals in plans of becoming a God of a new worlds created by him. His rival is a guy named "L", he is a super genius criminal investigator. The show becomes much like one of those criminal investigation shows like CSI.

If you ever get the time to watch some videos, please, watch death note, its great, even if your not a fan of anime. The thrill you get from watching L and Light play cat and mouse with a CSI vibe is great. I have been thinking is would be great being able experience that thrill again but first person instead. -I- want to be the one taking over the world, or trying to catch such a crazy criminal. The only way to do this, would be a video game. So I started pondering on a way to have a person be able to experience such a thrill.

One of the main problem I kept running into was being able to replicate a Death Note on a video game. There are an infinite number of ways to use a death note, and it would be impossible making a game that would dynamically react to user input good enough for what I have in store. So I came up with the solution of having the player Role play as the character trying to solve the crime.

I've seen some of the attempts at a death note game on byond, so far, they all fail in capturing the same trill you get from watching the show. Most -completely- miss the point of death note, it's sad. My concept for a game like this is a bit odd, so bare with me. Before I begin to explain my ideas, please, wash yourselves from the stereo typical Byond game standards. My game dose not even have a Base, because its not an adventure game. There is -no- walking around freely in a tiled map, no leveling up, no punching, none of that, lol. In fact, I'm not sure if Byond is the best thing to use for the execution of this concept.

Well My idea was basically to make the game a mystery game. You go around talking to people, trying to find clues. Those clues lead you to some other people, that would give you another clue. The more you find out, the more you would have to mention to people, and ask them about certain things. People might grow to dislike you by the way you communicate with them. I used real images as an example:

You move from room to room, talking to people, taking notes of what they say, performing an investigation. At the same time you have to defend yourself. If you talk to the wrong people, they might assault you. OR if the Kira find out your intentions and your name is known, he would kill you.

The Kiras would have different personalities. For example if you irritate him by snooping around his family and friends too openly, you might drive him to trade for the shinigami eyes... this would mean your death. A game like this might be complex to program, seeing as all of the AI, movement of people and actions of objects.

A death nore game might be grounds for a really fun Mystery Investigation Game. I still have more to share, but its 7:30 am and I havent slept yet, lol. Feel free to add in your ideas, I'll edit this post to include them.
