Why does BYOND count Unlisted games as "live" games?
I mean they're supposed to be unlisted because BYOND rejects them...right?

It says 179 games live but when i checked the number of live games on the website, i only found 35. -_-'

No reason realy to show the unlisted games as live games if we can't find them.
That information comes from the BYOND hub/pager itself I think, which makes no distinction about listed status. Hence we also don't have 5000 people online AND in games, just 5000 people online on the pager in some capacity.

I'm sure Tom, Lummox or Nadrew could chip in with a more detailed explanation, but ultimately I don't think it makes a massive difference what it's including in that count.
If they didn't count the RIPs / Unlisted Games as "Live Games" the site would make BYOND even more unattractive due to the lack of "online games", you just have to take a look, you'll only find a page or two of live games listed on BYOND.
The numbers are drawn from the hub/pager intercommunication system directly; getting the numbers alone is a lot easier and more efficient than doing all of the checks necessary to exclude things of specific listing status and whatnot.
The fact is original games are very sparse. Sadly :( but Polius looks promising .
