It's been awhile since BYOND had any fun contests.
I have no money on my paypal account but I was wondering who would be interested in participating in a GIAD or GIAW contest. Just for the sake of creating more fun games, and for the fun of it.

I could probably find some people to donate some money here and there but nothing big.

So yeah, let me know what you guys think, I really feel like the forums have been really boring lately...

Also, I'm open to themes and ideas for the contest.
Shooter game in a week.
I'd participate for a price no doubt! :)

I would create a ray-casting engine and use my xinputBYOND library for a intricate FPS in BYOND.
Of course if there is a prize ;p
Make a shooter game in a week, we need a good shooter in BYOND!
Well if I do it, it will require a controller that supports xinput ;p
I really don't care about that, i just want a new shooter game on BYOND. Something like how that SuperAntx game was.
You know what, we can do a shooter.
I am EmpirezTeam.

Therefore, the theme will not be shooter. The theme will be croissants.

You all have one week to make a game about croissants. Go forth.
If we're to do a contest, maybe there should be themes, rather than a specific topic. Ludum Dare style.
^^ Themes are more fun. Also keeps the contest fair. When you give a specific topic people tend to cheat ahead of time.
romance of three kingdoms theme pls

The first game I ever made on this key was ROTK inspired.

My aim was to make a Dynasty Warriors-esque game that had much more RPG elements, and a greater deal of fantasy. I thought that'd make for a pretty fun game.

Apparently, 7 years later, Nintendo shares my sentiment:

Just more proof I need to quit programming and just stick to design.
whens the party?
i come.
i mess things up.
then i walk out like a baus.
