Descriptive Problem Summary:
When you log in to BYOND it begins to load your friends and favorite games. At this point if you have somwhere around 50 or 100 friends your pager freezes up for a while. I am not the only one with this probelm so I am here to report it.
Numbered Steps to Reproduce Problem:
Properties > Pager Visibility = None. Simple but now nobody sees you. This problem occured after around v493 maybe you try to reload the pager more frequently?

Every time? Yes
In other games? Not on games at all.
In other user accounts? Yes
On other computers?Yes, even high powered fast hosting computers.
When does the problem NOT occur?Only when you disable to pager, setting your pager completely off.
Did the problem NOT occur in any earlier versions? If so, what was the last version that worked? (Visit http://www.byond.com/download/build to download old versions for testing.)
V463 worked just fine.
Workarounds:
Turning your pager by File > Preferences > Pager Visibility > None will stop the loading.

It would be good to get more feedback from other users with mass amounts of friends, since this is rather difficult to test.

I have 105 friends (with about 20-25 people online at a time tops). I have not seen this issue at all.

This depends a lot on a few different things. The main ones being your computer specs and how many people you have on your friend list.
The worse the computer and the more friends you have the more delay there is going to be while loading it. Disabling 'watchers' and turning your pager to private will also decrease the load. | |
