;D To go along with the thread asking what everyone asked for.

I didn't ask for anything, my mom took me to the store and told me how much I could spend, and I did just that. I bought around $700 worth of clothes, cologne, and the like, and then I bought:

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (recommended by Fizz),
Super Mario Galaxy
Wind Waker (one of the only Zelda games I have never played)
Super Smash Brothers: Melee (nostalgia <_<)
Silent Hill 2 (<3 Silent Hill)
Silent Hill: Origins (<3 Silent Hill ;D ;D)

And Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and 1 to go with my 2. <_<

Rawr. So, what did you get?
$700?!?!

The post says the $700 was for clothes and such, on top of the games and DVDs. What a spending limit!

Hiead
OK, I got $250 straight out cash (which, Ive only spent about a $150 of, on clothes, and I used it to get a gift for my g/f)
$85 worth of gift cards (spent on clothes, cologne, and one was a starbucks gift card, heh)
A few outfits.
My parents paid off my cell phone bill for the next 3 months... and then my cell phone got washed and destroyed <_<
And a lottery ticket which I won $30 on.

That was about it.
Of course, my bday is about 5 days before Christmas, and for that I got about $150 and a few other outfits, as well. And a new flashdrive that is actually U3 compatible and has a bit more storage space.
A guitar.
A little spoiled, eh?

I got:
An XM Radio
Mass Effect
An electric razor / shaving kit
The Cable Guy
Towels
Halo Kubrick figurines
A new hoodie and backpack
Pajama pants
A box of snacks
Laundry bag

All for less than you spend on clothes :D
Rich kids! When I was your age I was happy with a XMen poster and 3 coloring books!(OK, I know your not that young)

Seriously though, are your parents loaded? Or are you an only child of a well off family? We normally got a game console, a game for each kid(which would be me and my older brother), and maybe an extra control. And then a bunch of $5 toys and stocking stuffers. And of course cloths, but I don't consider them gifts, as they are something you need, not want, but I guess some people actually want specific cloths.
I got to spend Christmas with my parents, my aunt, and my younger siblings. It's been a great break from university life.

My big present was a pair of cross-country skis, poles, boots, and waxes. I've rented and borrowed equipment before, but now I have my very own! It is so exciting.

When I came back from South Africa I looked for CDs from the bands that I came to love while I was there, but found that they are very hard to find. No record store or website I ever browsed had albums by The Parlotones or Just Jinjer, for example. My mom talked to somebody who was visiting South Africa and arranged for them to buy me CDs from South African record stores while he was there. What a great present!

I took thousands of pictures during my travels last year. My parents ordered a lot of prints and put them in photo albums for Christmas. I also have a few blown-up prints that I can frame at some point. I did not realize how beautiful some of my pictures were.

I also got a shirt that says "I see dead pixels". Mom thought to buy it for me because I made the Circuit City guy take one laptop after another out of their boxes, checking the screen of each one for dead pixels.
List of gifts I received:

Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT (512MB DDR2)
Mario Galaxy
New Computer Desk (other one I had was 10 years old and bought during childhood.)
James Bond 007: Live and Let Die DVD (only had the VHS one originally, gift was given by my brother)
Mysterious Gift (not underwear :P)
A lot of books, mostly:

- Dintopia: Journey to Chandara (I loved these when I was younger, and still do)
- The Joys of Engrish
- They X-Rayed My Head And Found Nothing: The Ultimate A-Z Of Very Stupid Things Said By Very Famous People
- Some pulp scifi - The Dreaming Void, by Peter F. Hamilton

I also got $50 in unmarked, nonsequential notes (Australian, of course), a shirt that reads "International Sarcasm Society: Like we need your support", and Marioparty 8 (I blame myself. I didn't provide my parents with sufficient direction on suitable videogames)
Like the other people said; $700 on just clothes? Man you've got it good..0_0 Anyways I got:

a 30gb Zune
Kodak Digital Camera with printer dock ad starter kit
$210?($200 and some other dollars)
game chair(with built in speakers)
DVD recorder
hotdog toaster
a outfit
$25 gamestop card
Donkey Kong Country 3(A friend sent over the wii)
Scene-it expansion pack
handcrank radio(doesn't really work :'( )

My parents are divorced, so I get two sets of gifts.

From my mom and step-dad:
5-pack of white t-shirts
Bag of Hershey's Kissables
160GB hard drive (cool, I had less than a gig on my 80GB drive)
Gray Under Armour Hoodie
1GB iPod Shuffle
Rubik's Cube
Package of Axe shower gels and body spray

From my dad (also my boss at work) and his girlfriend:
Mouth wash (labeled as being from a girl at work that I constantly flirt with---an appropriate joke)
Tooth brush / Toothpaste
250GB 1-touch hard drive backup
5-pair pack of black socks
3-pack of white t-shirts (must be a popular gift choice for low budgets)
2-pack of Mennen Ocean Surf Speed Stick Deodorant
SpyCatcher software
Belkin USB 2.0 4-Port Hub
Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX
3 packs of hot cocoa mix

My step-brother's mom got him an Xbox 360 and Rock Band and, since he lives with me and happens to share a room with me currently, I have free access to that. Sweet deal.

I personally bought two presents. A little $25 USB wireless Internet adapter for my brother's computer (now he's online, yay for him), and a $180 vacuum cleaner for a special girl, which is all she wanted...what a romantic gift. -_-

Haha! I got that too, best movie ever! I actually had like 20 of these movies and lost all of them. I have no idea why I keep losing them, but hopefully I can hold onto this one for awhile. :)
