$399 Palm Centro

$50 mail in rebate
----
$49 Palm Centro (That's a Treo 500v-shaped device running Palm OS, for you UK folks)

+ PDANet for Palm OS (Updated for EVDO)
+ Bluetooth keychain adapter or USB Cable
= Unlimited high speed EVDO internet from any PC

$7 extra a month for coverage on the palm from damages, accidental damages, theft, and loss

The Palm should ship tomorrow, and has free overnight shipping. I also payed Sprint $34.99 for a 2GB Micro SD card because I didn't want to deal with having to order a cheap one from some other site and wait half a week for it to ship.

Beats getting an aircard for $59/mo and having to pay for a cell phone plan alongside that.

USA only as far as I know. If you're seriously interested in this, drop me an e-mail. I get nothing from this, nor does anyone else to my knowledge. Free unlimited texting ends the 16th of Feb (2008, naturally), afterwards it will cost an additional $10 a month.

If nobody gets anything from it, why not just post a link?

You probably have to go through a system. I know for a while people were tricking the Sprint website into giving them a Sprint employee discount, and it was a pretty sweet deal, but it took some fancy legwork to get it accepted.

True, good point.

Although this is not originally how I found out about the deal (I'm minutes away from the Sprint World HQ on a near daily basis, amd I work with people who work for Sprint as well), it does provide a good wealth of information about the promotion.

True, in the past a lot of folks did that, but now (from my friends at Sprint) Sprint employees have been encouraged to invite anyone to the 'employee referral' program
