Use IE. Works with Windows 2000+ I believe.
Removes viruses, spyware, unused registry entires, and optimizes your Windows install.
Just install an ActiveX control from the site and it does it all through IE
Had to use this to kill VirtuMonde.c

Maybe I'll test it out on a Virtual Machine, but I don't trust Microsoft to find anything. I know Windows Defender is one of the worst anti-malware products on the market. We have it on all the PCs at work, and whenever there is a problem I run it, but it rarely finds anything, as to where spybot and adaware come back with a lot.
