"I can see no reason why! This is the end of time!(It's happening, alright)"
-Unleash Hell by Hopes Die Last

Well, Feed will only have one more planned update which will introduce a new map(factory) and potentially a new zombie or two. Yes, we're dropping Feed seeing as it's gotten bland to develop and it's already taking it's dying breaths so why not take the opportunity to start a new project?

We're still brainstorming ideas but so far we're thinking of a horror-survival game to give Sunday the 19th a little bit of friendly competition in that department. The art style will probably not be the same style that gave Feed it's unique look, but rather something more detailed and semi-realistic.

We're opening our arms to ideas so please, share your thoughts!

All I can say is, REO+REO2 are amazing game concepts and are really fun to play.
That's all I've really got to say in this quick moment I have here.
Wait would the game be more Sunday the 19th or REO-REO2 survival??
what you mean your dropping feed? you only recently released it, start letting the community decide on what should be added or let someone take over the source. I still think feed should have done open world just like it planned when I worked on it, all I say is dont quit on it!

-Thanks
Brett
Feed is just too bland and boring for us to work with. We could always come back to it later down the road but for now, it's done with. Also, I'd never leave a project with someone else, Brett.

Good man; h5!

Anyways if you decide to put Feed on the back-burner after your next update then who's to stop you? Later on down the line you could be watching a movie or playing an unrelated game and be like "Wow I just had this amazing idea for that one old game of mine" and update it.

Personally I don't feel your game really took more then it's first breath out of the Dream Making womb before this decision was made; but if you're feeling it to be "bland" then you should consider a change of pace all together from it before you completely give up and never look back.

I personally would hope to see more with it; it has great potential.

Why don't you make it open world how you originally planned or make a new game that's more open world and about survival?
I made some feature requests to keep you entertained with Feed =P

Well, to be honest; I'm sick of zombies. They're way too over saturated and the only reason Feed uses zombies is because they were the best fit to the style of game.

i like feed and i like zombies

you should play Rogue Survivor. its my favorite zombie game. i've always wanted to make a zombie game thats like a mix between that older version of Dead World and Rogue Survivor- focusing more on survival than killing things. but im always held back by, "butt zombies are cliche and i already have sirius..."
I'm sick of zombies too. Even on other websites, the majority of "survival" games are RE or L4D knock offs. Why people haven't caught onto the fact that your game doesn't have to have zombies in order to be a fun survival game is a mystery to me.

there's an implied target audience, i guess. also, it's not just zombie games- shows like The Walking Dead are entertaining. its a cool concept

I want to see a survival game where you play an ex-agent like Jason Bourne or something that includes realism and such. I do like Zombie games though even though I am rather picky on them now a days.
I think Feed is a good game, but, regarding the direction the development went (ie: the type of game it is), I can understand you wanting to put it aside. So long as your proud of what you've made, I think it's fine for you to want to move on to another project. I don't have any ideas for multiplayer horror-survival games, but I have an idea for a single player horror game, let me know if your interested and we can talk about it.
the thing is, action-survival and PURE survival are too VERY different things.

I'd say there are two different definitions of a "survival" game:

1. A game which involves a player trying to meet certain goals within a smaller, restricted area over time. (scoring is based on time)

2. A game which involves a player trying to manage resources and use those resources to meet specific goals and ultimately progress. (scoring based on decisions, if any score is used at all)

In both cases, failure to meet key goals ends the game and forces the player to restart or sets them back drastically- hence the term "survival". It's also common for survival games to have relentless waves of enemies followed by moments of respite. Zombies fit this theme perfectly.

But comparing survival games which focus on action against games that use the latter definition is like comparing tetris to minecraft
