Blue Dragon: Byond in the balance

Seeing that title you might think: "What does a crappy anime about a kid have to do with byond?" A good question with a very simple answer. The artist behind Blue Dragon is the same guy that did Dragonball Z. The animation style is unmistakable and the question that begs to be asked here is: "What will happen to all the unruly 12 year old DBZ fans on Byond?" Will they all convert to Blue Dragonism? Will they split up into factions and fight for dork supremacy; also once the split happens would Bleach and Naruto fans try to make their move? Will Tom have to make all anime names to cuss words so they can't take their battles to the front page? Will they all become emo, sit in the fedal position and listen to My Chemical Romance because of the emotional damage an anime battle might inflict?

The answer to these questions and many more on the next episode of Byond Members Z.

Last time on Byond Members Z. AGHHHHHHH!!!!

Just kidding.

I'm gonna add a poll to this blog, though, it won't matter in the slightest because it isn't one of the few things that matter.

The real question here is, how far is too far? No matter how you slice it there is always such a thing as too much in any realm of thought. I happen to be Atheist. I'm not too outward about it; I usually only talk about it if I'm asked. However, I'm not like a good many atheists out there. I don't resent Christianity and I'm not offended by anything religious because I just take a different approach to Atheism than some.

Like most I became an Atheist through my questioning of my own religion but I came to the conclusion a long time ago that I nothing matters but the here in now. Honestly, some people take the saying "Those who do not learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat it" way too seriously. Just because you remember the mistakes of the past doesn't mean you have to dwell on them. It's really of no concern to me if the world was brought about by a big explosion of by the hand of a semi-omnipotent being or beings. What I need to worry about is the here and now. If I spend all my time worrying about the past or the future I'll end up missing my present. Of course, chess teaches us that looking a few steps forward and a few steps back can't hurt but that doesn't need to detract from the present but I digress. I'm getting off track here.

Point is that I'm an Atheist with a nihilistic view on the theistic or philosophic quandaries that most tend to dwell on. That being the case I often look at other atheists who are more outspoken(negatively) and easily offended as I would a Christian who tries to force religion onto an Islamic man.

Before my Grandpa died he told me a story about a couple of Atheists in NJ that went into a mall and had a mall Santa removed because it offended them. I don't know about you but I don't want anybody tell me what I can't have just because they don't like it. There is no right to be offended. There is nothing that you could possibly be offended by that you couldn't either get away from or ignore without problem.

So far I haven't been accosted by a could of Islamic peoples who want my ham sandwich thrown away because it offends them, though, I have been accosted by plenty of Christians that don't like things that I do but I still have never been forced to do something because of it.

Yet here we are fellow Atheists. It sickens me, honestly, to see so many people willing to do things that are wrong just to take a stab at Christianity. I'm not Atheist because I hate Christians. I really just don't care about Christian beliefs and you shouldn't either. If they try to force things on you, THEY are the idiots but if we turn around doing the same crap that's just proving that we're idiots too... that's not acceptable.

It all comes down to this: If you're going to be an atheist, be it because you don't want religion not to attack other people's beliefs. Be better human beings not morons.

Not trying to whine here, just had to get this off my chest. It irks me to no end.
