I thought I'd show off some "ancient" artwork. I made this about a month before Bleach: Soul of Chaos was released, and it was a series of Vaizard Masks I made.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Mask Names from Topleft to Bottom Right:

Original Mask (First mask I made)
Base-Mask
Base-Spikey Mask
Demonic Vaizard Mask
Sea-Vaizard Mask
Christmas Vaizard Mask
Burning Vaizard Mask
Vaizard of Light
Hollow-Scarred Mask
Broken Mask
Red Mask
Blazing Vaizard
Ichigo Mask
Possession Mask (Basically Half of the Original, Recolored)

Comments Pls?
Diff format than whatever you saved them in would be nice...it looks really blotchy.

It was a BMP saved-image, so I don't see how it could be considering that's one of the highest qualities MS Paint saves with. It's probably the way I made them or something.

You saved it as a .jpg, or photobucket coverted it really quick to crappy quality. If you're not willing to download a program to convert your .bmps into .pngs (there's a link on the front page!) you can use imageshack which automatically does it.

I looked at the file after I posted, I right clicked and checked the details, it's a .bmp file, so I don't know how photobucket did that.

After viewing Photobucket though: Yes, it editted it into a Jpg for no reason...

It didn't convert it to a .jpg for no reason. .bmp files are huge-uncompressed files, that take a long time to load, and use up a load of bandwidth. They're not meant to be to used on internet sites.

Okay, so how do I show it? I tried that file conversion program but it only ended up looking worst in my opinion.

Just use imageshack if that is the case.

Okay. I dont know how big your base is, but i can assume its alittle bigger than average judging by the size of the masks.

The masks look really reptile like. And theres not much variety other than color swapping and sections removed. You're giving them beaks, rather than room for the teeth hollows have.

It may just be me, but the eyes seem too big. The pupil (the yellow) would be better as one pixel in the middle.

Try shading them alittle better aswell. the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd are the only ones where i can make the shading out, and thats pretty pillow shaded.

PS: PNG format is good.

Hollow Masks often are reptile like or animal. Ichigo's Hollow Form was a Lizard. Just saying.

And like I said I think first post: Yes, I know they were edits, it was mostly toying around with different forms. And I made the masks based off the base I had at the time (This was Pre-BSOC, so it was an NBOTLS base).

I recently got asked by Axerob to make a new mask and did it based on the WOTS 2.0 base, so I may post that up soon.

All hollow masks have teeth. The only exeption i can think of is Iceringer. You gave no room for them to be there. And Ichigo's hollow form was definitely not a lizard. Was it the tail that made you think that? Anyway good luck.

Spine, claws, curved face, tail, the way the legs bent. It all pointed towards lizard-like.

The body looks more lizard-like smooth, and the overall tail adds onto that, hence it's called "Lizard Ichigo", "Hollow Ichigo" or "Half-Hollow Ichigo" (Three different names I've heard people call it)

PNG is good. GIF is good.

BMP is way too large and slow for the net.
JPG IS BAD. For pixel art, JPGs will change the image while compressing it, leaving little blurred machine anti-aliasing and other blotchy spots.

As far as the masks go, Lat, it's a challenge to work that small because I'm not sure if they're distinguishable at that size. AFAIK (and I'm probably way off on this - I've never seen the show), the hollow race are all black and the rest of their bodies won't give the player enough to tell which hollow is which. The masks would help, but there are a few there that might give a player some problems. Maybe.
Could you do the masks in character portraits instead, or do you have another way of telling them apart?
In response to TheMonkeyDidIt
Well Vaizard masks are worn by non-hollows, so I don't know how a big of a problem that would be.

Hollows are essentially just Ghost monsters that that eat the souls of everything in site to fill the hole in their chest. Vaizards are Soul Reaper's that gained Hollow powers, and Soul Reapers are essentially just Ghost Ghostbusters that have human bodies. However I agree the masks are a bit hard to tell apart. I know in the show that there's more variety in them, such as some have horns, and totally different shapes.

Very true, that's something I'll be touching upon. However Mouths are REALLY not my forte >_<().
In response to Latoma
You asked for comments, I tried giving you some. If mouths arent your "forte" try getting better. Dont just blow them off because you dont know how to do them.
