Dragonball Z Onslaught

Gameplay(7/10)
Dragonball Z Onslaught is PvP (player versus player) and PvE (player versus environment).
The interface is rather easy to get use to. You have a hub, which contains your powerlevel, ki, experience, energy(stamina) and transformation timer.
This game was rather fun, you gain levels by killing NPCs and by completely Quests.
You can be one of eight races:
Saiyan, Android, Bio, Namekian, Majin, Changling, Kai, and Human.
Of course, running around all day doing quests and killing NPCs can get dull. They have a good deal of customization when it comes to your characters appearance. Most of it is done at the casino:

You can buy clothing at the shops, but they only have the basics along with only 5 selectable colors to select from, whereas the casino, you can randomly get different types of appearance items.
This game has multiple planets, each with different amounts of quests and NPCs to kill or be killed by. Once you're at a certain level and completed the first few quests on Earth, you naturally go to Planet Vegeta then Planet Namek and so on. You get to planets by paying a 150 zenni fee to use the spacepod.

On my journey to Vegeta
Basically, it's kill or be killed, it can go either way. I made my character melee based, so I don't know how defense types work. However, I did let Blooper shoot a blast at me to screenshot it, but this is how the screenshot turned out...

Ki fighters usually fight long range, melee fighters are close range. However, I have yet to fight a defensive type player, so I regret to say I don't have information about them.
When you die, you have to walk snake way, which is rather...a far walk. It doesn't take too long to get to the end, but it's hardly worth dying for. When you get to King Kai's place, you get to play with bubbles...

As for the Dragonballs that every game has, this is rather interesting...
I noticed the black star dragonballs from Dragonball GT, however you have to be level 200 to use them. Also, you have a time limit, once you use them, you have to wait 3 hours before using them again. I've yet to use the earth dragonballs, however I did use the ones on namek. It was rather interesting. When you summon the dragon, you appear on a different location with him standing infront of you. He's rather big. (sorry, no screenshot of it).
It seems the game has crystals that you can gather up. Power Crystal, Ki Crystal, Exp Crystal, and Race Crystal. Power Crystal gives you a small boost in Powerlevel, whereas Ki gives you a small amount of Ki. The Race Crystal allows you to switch to a different race, I didn't get much time to test it because I only had a couple minutes left when I was testing it out. The Exp Crystal gives you a 20% boost of your experience needed to level up.
I did notice that alot of the NPCs you fight are repetitive. Mostly the saibamen, which isn't too bad considering it's still fun, but it can get dull to see a renamed/recolored icon with different stats.
While looking over the skills I already "purchased" with the skilltree, someone in World Chat struck my curiousity. He was spamming the World Chat to join a Guild. I was told by multiple people that you don't get anything worth spamming the world chat. Apparently if you own the guild base, you get a boost to casino gains and extra money + exp from NPC's. So it's dire to join a guild if you're wanting to level up quickly.
Presentation(6/10)
From what I seen, there wasn't any ripped icons. It's good to see a game without the typical dbz icons. As for sound and music, this game doesn't have either. Which is a pity considering I was hoping it would have some type of sound.
Originality(8/10)
I thought the game was pretty original compared to all the other dbz games on BYOND. Training keeps the players more active. I also like that you can customize your characters stats however you see fit, it give the players more freedom is customizing their character, unlike most which contain preset stat gains.
Every level up you get energy, 3 stat points, 1 skill point and some powerlevel. Everyone 20 levels you get 1 race point, which lets you level up one skill only your race has access to.

This is an example on what the stat distribution looks like.

You can learn techniques from the categories:
Melee, Ki, Defense.
Each has a requirement to get to the other, basically a skilltree.
~Community
The community can be rather friendly, but you get the typical players that enjoy trolling for no apparent reason. You get a couple people who don't use English or atleast refuse to, but that's not bad.
I've seen a few administrators, more than last time. A couple of them were friendly and helpful, where as one or two would only talk to insult a player or look down on him/her.
Overall(7/10)
-The community is decent, I haven't ran into any abusive admins.
-Training is active and fun.
-Interesting features, such as Guilds, Wars, ect.
-Same revival as the other dbz games.
-Repetitive monsters, and quests.
-Easy to get use to, the guide and rules are on the hud.

Opps... Usually people tend to type sluggishly for no apparent reason, so I assumed he was one of them. Sadly, it's too late now. If I knew beforehand, then I would have no need to delete his comment.

Not sure why he bothered taking time to type so sluggishly. That had to take either work or natural talent of a twelve year old.
Nonetheless, I removed both his and Ham Doctor's comment.

I could always remake one and lower it if you want =P
Although PvP isn't my thing, Onslaught seems to get my attention more than any other game on BYOND.
Well, so far that is. I'm still browsing around and trying out other games.

Lige heres some advice, To give more in depth review I try to refrain from using the template BYOND Gives.
Gameplay
Graphical Rating
Sounds
Community
Concept
Playability
Entertainment
Concepts
Replay Value
Large Template but it gives you the general idea of what you should add into your review.

Side note: Gee so my advice is off topic? Shrewd.
Advice:
You should look at reviews on places like GameSpy and such, carefully read how in depth they go as the time they put into the game from writing the review in the first place.
If you believe the game is worth anything in the first place you should put at least a weeks effort into playtime for a game like Onslaught, get the whole experience.

An IGN article on how to write reviews. Worth reading if you want to write elaborate, detailed reviews about a game.

Yeah, see you wouldn't be able to get the full experience of Onslaught, with only a level 20-29 Character, but on the other hand, your review wasn't like all the other random noobs posts, which are just basically Advertisements.

No, I did train to a certain extent. I agree my review lacks details on every aspect and feature within the game, as well as how the combat works. But to access most places, I'd have to spend probably 3 days training while avoiding stronger players as well as their ability to instantly transmit.
I'd say it's rather hard to give details on combat when most players are level 150-200 whereas I'm in the mid to high 20's.
Back on the sarcasm of me not training? It would take patience to train on Onslaught, along with hours of gameplay. As I stated, PvP isn't really for me, so it's obvious that I wouldn't want to spend hours to make a sad attempt to catch up to the high leveled players.
