This issue has been resolved.
I wish to expand the Linux Guild's forum a bit.
Currently it is in a hub entry to allow for a "forum" like the old blogs had.

http://www.byond.com/forum/LinuxGuild/LinuxGuild

Currently the categories by default are:

General
Bug Reports
Feature Requests

Is it possible to delete Bug Reports and Feature Requests and just leave General?

Also, is it possible for us to obtain custom CSS styling and also redirect

http://www.byond.com/forum/LinuxGuild/
to
http://www.byond.com/forum/LinuxGuild/LinuxGuild

I realize this would require a bit of custom code on your guys part, but I really want to be able to open up the Linux Guild as it once was.

Also, I have a lifetime membership on the key.

Thanks,
Flame Sage
Would it be easier to have a forum here for other platforms (mainly linux)? That would probably get more traffic and be easier to follow.
If it was to create it's own subform here within the main forum, that would be amazing!
I feel it would get a lot more traffic.

Is it possible to set forum mods for subforms though?
I'm sure we can figure something out. We'll take care of it next week.
Roger.
You know where to find me.
You could also ask Stephen / Audeuro.
Yeah, basically we could do with a single section for non-Windows platform support, and maybe specific moderators for that.
Sounds good. I've already started on some tutorials here:

Alright. I'll probably be concocting a Wine on Ubuntu/Mint thing soon, gotta debug the keyfile permissions issue. Seems to be the provided pmode to s_open()? Maybe some UAC stuff BYOND had to add. Works on my Gentoo though.
All right.
I'll begin writing a bash script for the Dream Daemon version (native.) Will hopefully solve some problems with newbies installing it on their servers.
We should maybe consider the good old repository based approach, with a PPA repo for Ubuntu/Mint.
That would work.
We could potentially just package up a version of BYOND Suite (Windows) with WINE, somewhat like Picasa.
And also offer the regular version of BYOND.
There should not be a Linux Guild. End
Why is this even a feature request?

If you want to make this a practical/acceptable feature request, then request the general ability for hub owner's to customize their hub forums.
I think it's a feature request because we don't all see things your way. Shouldn't affect you too much though, so I wouldn't worry yourself with it.
By the way, if you're going to go around maliciously deleting off-topic posts, then piratically the entire conversation between Stephen and Flame Sage has nothing to do with setting up Linux forums - it is about how clunky and unintuitive using Linux is.
It's about what we're going to put into the new Linux support forum we might be getting.
Was just curious what the status of this was...
I'm sorry, this slipped my mind. We'll set something up this week-- page me if I forget again. Probably it'll just be a single forum for non-standard BYOND installation/discussion and we can move the old Linux Guild posts over.
Roger. I'll page you Wednesday in case you forget.
Ok, the posts have been moved to the new Linux Talk forum. Right now it's just moderated by the global mods, but we can see about expanding that. Hopefully this will help.
