Currently on holiday leave, and I was looking at a post by tsfreak that just made me open up DreamMaker and start programming. I haven't enjoyed programming this much in quite some time, I thought the Army has all but killed my programming future but I can see how bright it can still be.

Anyways, looking for someone to wait on my call who can help me test out my Harry Potter game. If you're up to it and online a lot, hit me up on AIM: bowlingforturkeh, or MSN: lordoflightx@hotmail.com

Oh and also go check out Tsfreaks post, it'll make you feel bad about all the progress you haven't made but at the same time it can be an inspiration. I'd post a link to it, but that would make me have to open up another tab and go back to it and that's a lot of work. Ah well, sorry about that Ts you can see how lazy I can be :)

Edit: I felt pretty bad about not posting that link, so here it is. http://www.byond.com/members/ Tsfreaks?command=view_post&post=106304

Go check it out!

I've decided I'm pretty tired of working on my own. Some of my best times have been spent working with other people on a project. So here I am looking for a team who already has a project in mind who needs a programmer. I also don't want to worry about anything other then programming. So contact me on AIM at bowlingforturkeh or MSN at lordoflightx@hotmail.com

Also I don't mind working on fangames I'd almost prefer it since it lets me program with something to base it off of.
Almost done with AIT (Advanced Individual Training) and I finally got my netbook shipped down here since the new bays have routers in them. I'm pretty excited to be out of here within the month and I can't wait to go back to living a somewhat normal life in the regular army. I've been plugging away on Hogwarts Online and getting decent progress done but my problem is I keep figuring out more efficient ways of doing things and I end up redoing a lot of the game that doesn't need to be redone.

Ah well whatever, I'm looking to test somewhat soon since I have no idea if any of this will actually work once people start playing. I'm more of a program until I get bored type, so I end up waiting until I added a few things to test. It backfires sometimes but hey I'm just a meager hobbyist with time on my hands. Speaking of time, I'm really hoping to get this game out soon because it seems theirs a chance I'll end up deploying to Afghanistan sooner then I'd like.

After I go to my unit I'll be going to Airborne School to learn how to jump out of airplanes and be all highspeed and stuff. Well if your interested in testing, leave me a way to contact you in the comments. I'm a big fan of reasoning things out when I'm programming so if you leave your contact info don't be surprised if I bother you with ideas bouncing around in my head.

Well next time I post I should have some screenshots, tiny screenshots at that this is a netbook after all, and some more info on what's going on with my unit status.

Well about a month out of bootcamp and enjoying some of my new freedoms. I don't have regular access yet which is a pain but I can usually go up to the library or internet cafe. Tekken and I have recently been discussing some of our old projects and have decided before we both get too caught up in life we need to release something. We've resumed work on Came and Conquered and hope to get a playable version soon. This will be a very early alpha, we're looking to see how the systems work together before we start fine tuning everything.

We are really hoping with this project we can introduce some sort of professionalism that most BYOND games lack. After learning a few things I'll probably follow Aaiko's lead and try to hide the BYOND login altogether and setup my own database. It's amazing how much BYOND has changed since we started this project and a lot of our old plans.

Well all done with class for the day so I'll keep everyone updated. I recently purchased a VPS through linode and it's pretty nifty to be able to ssh into it from my phone.

Well I haven't posted in quite some time and a lot of things have happened since the last time I posted. I have joined the army with a 25C contract (Radio Communications) and option 40 (Airborne and RIP School). I'm pretty excited to be going but I can't wait for boot camp to be over. It's not the work or the exercise that scares me, it's just the fact that you can't really do anything.

Ah oh well, I'm pretty close to releasing my Harry Potter game which I was going to hold until I got out of boot camp but I've decided otherwise, since my ship date is on the 13th of April I plan on releasing the first testing version by the 1st of April so I can have some solid testing time until I leave. I will hopefully find someone to help me keep the game going until I get back in 9 weeks.

As always, I have plenty of artwork that needs to be done so if anyone has any free time I'd be pretty happy to have your help.

How many of you actually still remember this game? It's a game based heavily on Polatrite's Survival. I was a big fan and just thought the game could go so much further, and while I see he's releasing a Survival 2, I'm going to head off in my own direction soon to make it a completely different game. I'd love to post a screenshot but we have a few surprises that we're not ready to release yet. Look out for us hosting a small testing session soon, we've decided we're not going to try and finish the entire thing then release it, we're going to small sessions to find bugs and hopefully inspire a fan base.

Well I'll post an updated screenshot tomorrow, so you guys know whats going on. Oh and if you had any questions, someone recently IMed me with a few that led to some good ideas, let me know.

Well since I just can't sit down and work on my own projects, I was wondering if any decent team needed a programmer? I'm only looking to join a team that has artists, and actually have an idea of what they want. I am willing to work for almost any project, so long as it's not "OMG HELPZ ME PR0GrAMZ my Narut0 G4M3", I don't mind Anime but I want driven people. My contacts are, bowlingforturkeh on aim, and lordoflightx@hotmail.com for msn, and my email is tmiller0909@gmail.com.
Thanks for your time.

Anyone know of any sites that release periodical newsletters that are somewhat interesting, anything from video games to new processors. Even programming articles, not the dull ones that I seem to always find. I'm interested in a lot of computer related stuff but if you know of any other ones in any other genre, feel free to comment :)
