While there ARE justifications to pwiping, there are reasons why they are bad. Let me clear this up for you in a real life scenario.

You are walking into Burger King. You see the line, and you join it. Now you're like 2 spots from the front and the manager walks out and says,

"Go HOME! Come back tomorrow! We want to be fair to those towards the back of the line so we're gonna cut the line where it is and start a new one tomorrow"

You go back tomorrow and that dude 10 spots behind you yesterday is now at the front of the line.

YOU were there FIRST. You should've gotten served FIRST. But because the Manager wanted to be fair to those with a working schedule or something, you got served LATER than you should've been.

In case you're too dense to get the reference, I'll put it in game terms.

You're playing a game, let's say Bleach Eternity. You're just about to get the reqs for Bankai when all of a sudden, Falacy pops in and says,

"Gonna pwipe. You think it's fair that people lvl 2 and 3 can't get spots in the espada because they came so late?"

2 days later that same lvl 2 is espada. And all you can say is, WTF?!!

First come, first serve right? A pwipe destroys that.

What are the arguments from both sides?

Pro Pwipe:
- Give New players a chance at something big! Its not fair that the first people who login got to the high spots so quickly!

Against Pwipe:
- We were here first! Why shouldn't we have the high spots?

Aaaand lets analyze the pros and cons of pwiping!

Pros:
1. Newer players get a chance to be part of the growing of the world's stats.

Cons:
1. Angers players who were there from the start and had to restart, wasting who knows how many hours of hard work (Or if you play NBotLS, hours of clicking or having a macro do all the work for you...)
2. The Host's player save file gets incredibly large. (Speaking from someone who knows XD)

Now I really don't see how a no pwipe system isn't fair. I find that when players get up to the high spots, after a while they get "comfy", stop logging in and training. Just falling to wayside until that lvl 2 newb gets the skill/power to overtake him. This is known as the circle of newbs. I am often one of those newbs and I am often one of those people in the high spots. I think a pwipe is unfair to everyone that worked hard to get their stuff.

Right now, my only hacker defense, was somewhat broken. My dream daemon bans dont work. In an effort to protect the server, i am shutting down Artemis's Server for now, until it is fixed. if it isnt fixed, find a new host. I will continue to host other games and when ES is completed, i will host that, keep an eye on my key to see where i go and what i host, Ciao guys

I'm starting to think the world is coming to a rapid death. You ever notice that some games are rips with "Revised" at the end? But when you play its the same rip. Well..... i did some research. The word itself, is latin based. Re- to start again, vision- to see. To Start to See again. If you bring it to today's language, it means somewhere along the lines of.... To Start Over. To make again. Now that we've established what the word means.... Lets see if the title fits it. Its a rip with new staff, banned old staff, and nothing really new in particular. That looks more like a shift in control rather than a revision. So these games are not only FALSE, but the morons who made the hub and ripped the game dont even know standard english! Its a sad thing to see the world coming to this, where the humans forget the meanings of words they made up.
