Here's how BreederMon combat is planned.

Everything is done with skills. To learn a skill your mon must have a certain level and a certain body part. For instance, only pets with the bird head body part may learn peck. When it comes to combat, you suggest a strategy for your mon before the fight starts and you both send your mons in. Your mon will pick a skill in their skillset at random based on the strategy (kinda like Digimon world?).

There are two types of fights you may enter.
1. Arena Fights: Regular fights
2. Pit Fights: The loser dies, but the payout is substantially higher

There is also a planned feature called Colli-See-Um where you bet on the matches of NPC mons.

This kind of sounds like Metabots, where you can change the parts of each limb/torso/head for different stats and abilities or you could match it to all be the same and gain a bonus.
