What is the real difference variable-wise. I mean honestly, I can't really think of any differences. If you can think of some let me know.

FYI: I know NPC have AI, where PC don't.

So I received some money in the mail, and I was thinking of using the money to build a desktop computer for my at home needs. Now I only have a $300 budget so I'm looking for a good website that I can buy the parts for the computer.

Any suggestions?

So I've been sitting around my computer coming up with a design document for my MUD, and I came to a problem when I started coding it.

I'm making combat very different from the typical games and give each character to pick and choose which body part they can attack and damage. But I can't seem to figure out where I could said at, any ideas?

Traits & Perks

Now I've been thinking about adding in a trait or perk system, which is for those who didn't know.

After certain requirements or after a number of levelups, you would gain something special.

Eagle Eye
You gain a 10% boost to your accuracy.

I was thinking how would someone set that up or just some thoughts on if that system would be any good.

So I'm making a text-based game, and I was thinking could I could make BYOND interface and uses the grids to handle combat?

Well, I've been working with XML, on my MUD with basic stuff like room, mobs and objs loading. It works pretty well, but I wonder how far should someone use XML. Also what would someone use it for.

Well, its been a while since I've written on the forum, cause I've been busy practicing C/C++ and Lua.

But I came back to work with BYOND. But anyway, I'm working on a MUD. And I took the OLC(Online Creation) from Intermudia or however its spelled. To work with, and change.

But with working with it, the mobs are created through the OLC, but I was thinking of hard coding them in and loading them in after the rooms have been set up. But I'm unsure if I wanna go that route.

But if you have any suggestions on different ways I could do it. Let me know.
