Bug: Pager Hides Mouse

The new Pager seems to hide my mouse at certain points, and also happens to do the same thing to my desktop. Closing the BYOND pager fixes the issue. Not sure what causes it, but I know it's been happening to me frequently. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this problem.

Version 4.09 has been released. Overall features for SimpleChat to-date include:

A level/EXP system which is based on minutes spent in SC
The ability to change the color theme, the font style, and username color of your client
A password can be set on your account for logging into Telnet

Version 4.05 - User Levels

Back in Version 3, there was a system for EXP and levels. In the Version 4 rewrite, the levels had not been put back in. In this update, user levels have been brought back into SC.

For recurring users since version 3, these users will have their old EXP and levels. New users can now accumulate EXP and gain levels for being in the chat (active or idle - makes no difference).

SimpleChat Official Channel Rules

The users of SimpleChat are human beings whom hold varied opinions about things, and are all different from one another. When in the presence of others, respect their views and beliefs. Those who find certain terms and conversations offensive or distasteful may speak to cease it. If a respectful cessation of the term or dialog is not done, an Operator or Host may take action in doing so, such as a mute, or ban, depending on the severity of the nature of the offender.

1) Give respect to your fellow man.

Spam is not tolerated in the channel. However, there are some exceptions to the rule, such as playing games involving the /roll command, or /me with role-play sessions. Rule 1 also comes into play with this. An Operator or Host may mute the spammer if this happens. Several occurrences will result in a ban.

2) Spam is not tolerated.

Users can send links to the client for others to view. It gives users more freedom to another medium. This is encouraged. However, there are some links which can be deemed offensive, or not suitable for all audiences. Given the pseudo-scenario that people are generally in a work-friendly environment, posting links should have Not-Safe-For-Work tags, or inserted text to let other users know if a link is beyond acceptable guidelines. Depending on the severity of the link, punishments can range from a mute to a ban.

3) All lewd and offensive links should have "NSFW" in or around the same post as the link.

the client will always have bugs no matter how hard we try to squash them. Some may even rise up when other bugs get fixed. In any case where a bug is found, it is discouraged from exploiting it. Exploiting a bug can be harmful or disturbing to other users. Punishments vary from a mute, to a ban.

4) Do not exploit bugs.

In this channel, DO NOT advertise or ask for help regarding BYOND games that cannot be listed on the hub because of copyright issues, or are games that have reference to a certain franchise, such as anime or another game series. Furthermore, it is penalizing to enter the channel only to advertise. THIS IS NOT CHATTING, and will not be tolerated whatsoever.

5) Do not advertise or seek help for rips or fangames.

Please abide by the rules truthfully. Using the rules in a manner that is not honest (such as bending rule 1) can be inefficient and trollish. The host's opinion is also a priority and should be respected by his or her peers.

6) Do not abuse the rules or look for exceptions to the rules.

I'll be adding new features to version 4 throughout time. Currently the client doesn't have a lot of commands, but it is more structured than Version 3.

In this patch:
Forums Button in Browser, "/color" for Telnet, PlaySound

Instead of linking to scnews.html, the News button has been changed to a
Forums button, which links to ZYNKCO's subforum for SimpleChat.

Telnet users can now choose their name color with /color [hex/name].
Example: /color red, or /color #FF0000.

PlaySound for Admins allows the hosts to play a sound if it is in the
application's "sounds" directory. Example: PlaySound "sample.wav"
