My review for FreezeTag Hideaway

Gameplay

Well it's a very addictive and fun game overall, but it has its fair share of bugs. For example: If you get in fornt of a goomba, and your'e it, it freezes you anyway. And in some modes (Example: No Tag Backs), it will freeze you and you won't be able to be unfrozen. It gets updated every now and then, and the moderators are pretty cool with a lot of stuff. Plus, cuss words are censored, so kids can play this game without fear of getting cussed out, although some people avoid filter. This game will make you laugh in many situations, so I reccommend playing this game if you need a good laugh! The controls and gameplay are really self-explanatory and simple. I enjoy playing this game a lot.

Presentation

You know, I like the icons, but that music just gets annoying and has you struggling to get to the toggle music button every time you log on. The graphics are typical for a Byond game, and they are based off of Nintendo characters. So, this section is not so bad, but not so good, either.

Originality

I would have given this a 10, but there were 2 freeze tag games made before this. I only took 1 point off for that fact, because it is really unique and seperates itself from the other 2. Based from the icons and music, and the fact that the graphics are a bit better, I think this game gave itself a nice distance between the other 2 hide and seek Byond games.

Overall

Play this game. Definitely. Its extremely fun and addicting, and gives you a little jolt of energy in some rounds. It's not so popular right now, but the popularity has been going up over the past few months. I was hooked on this game the first time I played it. My honest opinion is that it's a great game for Byond's kiddies under 10, and that it's very simple and easy. So if you just wanna relax a little bit, come play this game. It's a nice break from those RPG's and shooters that you have to pay attention to constantly.

Slight hosting problem

Ok. I recently got a new internet thing, and its not a router, at least i dont think it is. Its from Qwest, and Im currently having hosting problems. Ill figure it out and Ill be hosting again soon, but while I try to figure it out, a little help would be nice. Ive done a port forward before, but this doesnt seem to be the issue. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Gameplay

Well, most people found this game a lost cause for some reason, but if you play it for a while you'll begin to like it. It has a sort of addictive quality, I guess. Well, first of all, The monsters are fun to fight, and the more you level up the harder the monsters you get to fight. You can learn skills from a vendor, and there are 3 species of monsters to choose: Blob, Cloakie, or Fairy. Each one has unique skills, but you can learn different monsters skills from the vendors, even so.

Presentation

The graphics arent half bad, the music is kinda good, and there are a lot of other things to mention. The battle system is very unique. You click the monster/player to attack/heal, then either use an item or a skill on that chosen target. You really should read the help file before you play, which is in the commands tab when you make your character(It even says to read the help file in commands tab when you start, so no excuses for not knowing how to play). There's no WorldSay or OOC or anything. Woo just didn't think to add it, I guess. I am currently trying to contact Woo so I can own the game and add/improve some things. The game was made in 2003, and updates in 2006, then abandoned, sadly.

Originality

Well it kind of reminds you of Dragon Warrior just a tad. But mainly it's unique in it's very own way.

Overall

I love it really. I am trying to host a permanent server, but It's kinda hard when my parents keep shutting it off. I will keep hosting a server as much as I can, and continue to try to retrieve the source. The game can be improved and I will be sure that it happens. Just try it out and you'll see what I meant by addictive.

Presentation

Well my first impression of this game was "Wow...Ummm...This looks like a really idiotic game.". See, graphics are usually the thing that makes the biggest first impression on players. Plus, no sound(Waves crashing against the shore, building sounds, etc.), which is another big thing. When I got on after the update, I thought it wasnt as good as before. They added PK, destroying other peoples buildings, stuff like that. I mean, sure. Doing it to other people is fun, but it gets annoying when everytime you build something, a person comes and destroys it all. And the PK thing is no fun when you go afk or anything like that.

Gameplay

The item system seemed to be decently worked on, such as combos for items, which take forever to figure out. And if you dont get food withing the first 30-45 minutes, your'e dead. I think it should be easier to get food, because once you actually grow it/catch it, it's extremely hard to cook at first. There are 11 skills you can work on: Building(You use it to build stuff, with logs, which you need an axe, to get), Crafting(You can use it to make bowls and stuff, not a bad skill to work on), Smithing(Pain in the ass to train but totally worth it), Mining(For everyone who is clueless about mining, you mine on cave floors, not quarries or cave walls), Farming(This is kind of self-explanatory, isn't
it?), Alchemy(I don"t see a use for this skill actually), Fishing(Not very easy to fish at first, just level it up till you start catching things. P.S., There are 3 things you can fish with, but I cant give it away), Swimming(Totally useless skill, knowing you can make a raft right when you start. Dont train this skill too much, it's really a waste of time.), Lumberjack(Which you cant level unless you have an axe...Which is extremely hard to make.), Cooking(Extremely hard to do, but easy when you level it up high enough.), and Combat(I totally disagree with being able to PK. Takes way too long to make a new character and restart your training, etc.). But, this game is really very user-friendly. Just, don't go near Okus or his tribe. A group of idiot PKers, they are.

Overall

Well, as you can see, It's not a very good score. I really think this game can be improved a lot more. More items could be added, the skill level max could be improved, etc. This game could add a lot more things in the survival area of gaming. Not a bad game, don't get me wrong. But it could be improved, as i said. I like this game, and hope it goes somewhere better than where it is.

Petition against SS13

We all know and love(hate/used to like but now hate its guts) the game SS13, and I am one of the people that used to like it. And now hate it so much i cant stand it. I have been banned from 3 servers for no apparent reason, and just a few minutes ago I commented that I had ADHD, and one of the GM's said "GOONSTATION IS FOR GOONS!" and banned me. I havent only been banned from the goon servers, but others as well for no reason at all. I would be playing on one of the servers one night, say bye, then the next morning I was banned from that same server. I think this is really ruining the fun for some people on Byond. Its a very fun game, dont get me wrong! But the Admins and GM's are way too abusive of their powers. If anyone else has had a problem like this please reply to this post, kind of like a petition. Thank you for reading this!
