As the title says, I'd appreciate, even welcome feedback on my projects. Preferably those actually playable ie. Ultimate Strife, Blood Action, DS Wifi Meet, etc. in a helpful manner so I can improve upon them. Your help/participation would be greatly appreciated. :D

For Ultimate Strife, I'm guessing that you are not getting much feedback because, while you appear to have a lot of content, that content is hidden. (That, and people rarely give enough important feedback in general.) You're not the only developer with this problem. I can't promise more feedback, but I think you could remove this barrier. You just need to sit down and make robust help files so people will know how to take the time to find all of the stuff you created.

* When a player starts to play, give them all of the stat panels. Hiding them is just confusing. Toggle them on by default. Better yet, show them when they are appropriate. Show the Build panel automatically, show the Building menu when there is at least one building, show the Training menu once a Training Center is built, show the Units menu when there is at least one unit, etc.

* It's a bit of a pain to search through menus and type in pop-ups in order to talk to other players. I'd put an input control on the bottom of the skin. I'd then put a bunch of radio buttons above it to select the method of communication. You want people to talk so they can give important information... like RTFM. ;)

* I'd lose the commands panel. There are already a lot of tabs to get lost in. Besides, verb panels are looked down on by many players and it seems easier to access those commands through the Buildings panel anyway.

* Speaking of those commands, what exactly do they do? Repair and Demolish are simple enough. The others are a bit confusing. All of them should be explained in the help files.

* While you're at it, explain all of the menus and their commands in the help files too.

* I find it hard to distinguish between working mines and ones which have stopped.

* When research completed, I was told of my newfound knowledge through an alert rather than in the output section like other research. It should probably be more consistent.

* The biggest problem is still the lack of information on buildings and units. I really want to see all of them described in the help files. Otherwise, players won't know how to use them or why they'd want to. (What does the Strategy Center actually do? When I click it, it just spits out the definitions of the research categories.) The tech trees need to be written out as well. It is important to know when different types of buildings/units will be available. Strategy relies on making predictions.

Now, you may have important design and balance issues as well. However, I don't think people will be able to tell you until issues like most of the ones I listed are resolved. It would all be guesswork.
SpaceSweeper - What were you thinking!?

- Horrible graphics.
- No variety.
- Can't even tell when a shot hits something.
- Unbearably blocky movement.

Really, BYOND can do much, much better than this nowadays (and back then, too!), so I don't see any reason why this couldn't be done better. Pixel movement and some radius-based pixel collision detection wouldn't be out of the question. Add some explosion graphics, add some sound effects, add some items to collect that do something besides increase numbers, add some enemies that do something besides fly back and forth and shoot, and you might have yourself a decent game.

You submitted it to my guild the other day, and I'll add it just because some of the other games I added recently suck pretty bad and I'd feel guilty not adding it, but I'll probably remove it and several others a little while down the road. SPG isn't an official guild so I'd like to tighten my fist a little bit and just focus on the high quality games.

If you decide to rework this game at any point and need some help accomplishing any of that, feel free to give me a buzz.

(PS - don't you find this blue font hard to read?)
Wow, hadn't heard anyone claim it was that bad before, but at least you were honest and I thank you for your feedback nonetheless. It was originally submitted for a contest, but as crappy as you make it sound, I just may update it when I get the chance.

As for the text, it seems pretty easy to read imo (regular blue rather than dark blue against black, why not?) but I guess I'll have to get around to changing my css too.
Sorry if I sound too negative. It just irks me because I know BYOND can do so much better.
Heh it's understandable I guess. Now I just need to overcome laziness.
