Bring back the grayscale pallete in BYOND Discussion

Without the grayscale palette, it's a bummer to make simple outlines for icons you're going to add/subtract colors from later on. It was a nice feature. It also had support at [link]. Yes, No, Maybe?

Yeah, it's really annoying to create any colors between white and black, the grayscale pallete really made things simpler.
and
the DM icon editor seems too empty now without it, so yeah.

Bumping for consideration. It's hard to make anything without shades of gray already on your pallete.

When we reworked the editor to show colors in use, we lost some of the extra space that previously contained the grayscales. We plan on doing an icon update at some point that will reclaim the palette, provide larger canvas space, and provide some other features. If that turns out to be far off (ie, not within the next few months), we can look into a minor update to fix this. In the meantime, one thing you can do is make a dummy icon that includes the colors you want and import it as a state before you make your icons. The colors will then be included in the "colors in use" palette.

I used Dream Maker's icon editor to make things in the past, but the loss of greyscale pallete was a little off-setting. I still use it to make quick edits, though. I use iDraw due to the huge canvas.
