Ok I foudn out that AJ has a save editor so watch out game hosters, heres proof i didnt maek it up, this was said June 13 2003 on Petz-X

There is a save editor. Nadrew made it and then took it off the hub months back.

It's no use posting this, try reporting this via e-mail to dantom. Give him this link, http://developer.byond.com/hub/AJX/SavefileEditor, which is even more proof since he is basically telling you in the description that it can be used to cheat in games.(EDIT:) Not to mention he even suggests using it to steal icons.

What good is a savefile editor unless you have access to the savefiles? And if you have access to the savefiles, who cares if you edit them? Shouldn't the host be allowed to make changes on any game they're hosting?

A savefile editor isn't illegal. Heck, if you want to make your own, just read the reference under ImportText and ExportText. AJ is monumentally stupid if he thinks people will pay almost a dollar a week for something that they could make for free, and anyone who actually DOES pay for it is even more monumentally stupid. =P

1) They are extremely easy to make :P


2) Games can protect against them, so it isn't that bad. Air Mapster's encryption utility is what I use, and I encrypt all my newer game's savefiles that need them.

Lets see them try to edit a Hearts savefile when the rank var in the savefile look like this: D485JDYWIE392KDJWU2ABDTUEISS


Tell me, what comes after the number, D485JDYWIE392KDJWU2ABDTUEISS? :P

(Note: Don't try putting that into Hearts, I made that string up :P)
