More 'chatballoons' in 4.0 in BYOND Discussion

Well, since 4.0 is all about costumization, how about you'll be able to make your own icons like the chatballoon icon?
You could, for example, make your own OOC icons without making it hud that way, and you'd just need to press it to be constantly in OOC.

I'd prefer it to where there's a screen of icons, like in Windows XP, and you can browse your computer for a replacement icon.

I can't speak to whether this specific feature will be implemented, but it sounds like exactly the sort of thing 4.0 is supposed to allow. Whether players will be able to make such changes, or it's strictly author only, I don't know.

Well, I for one am hopeing it is, or mostly author only. I'm hopeing byond is moving in more the stand-alone direction.

About customization? Cool! 'Kay, uhh, how about changing how the screen looks ENTIRLY! You can put verbs on the right, text on the top, map in the center, ect... in the ect...

Sounds great. Now, just make it stand-alone and a great program will BYOND will be. >_>

Just kidding, having too use DS too run games is fine. For the power you have with it anyway. :)

It'd be so cool to be able to use the full Dream Seeker to display your map.
