One problem fixed just in time for a new one.
Well, I managed to prevent my line from being disconnected but I had to put in some work to get it out of the way for the phone company.
Now that I have that all worked out it seems the trick I've been using for the last year and a half or so to obtain free dial-up has been patched up by the company.
It's a much cheaper fix than the previous problem, but I still can't afford to fix it. Currently, I'm using NetZero's ten free hours a month, which should be running out pretty soon. So until I can manage a means of getting $7.00 or so a month I'll be barely-around but still lurking around somewhere!
[Edit]
Many, many thanks to Lucknfavor for kindly donating a few bucks my way. He's provided me with at least a few months worth of service. Thanks again!
[Edit again]
Another major thanks to Goten84 for his undisclosed assistance last week. He's insured that I'll have non-ramen food for at least two months!

Real men actually treat sodium as a best friend; kidney stones = reputation++.

I would donate you the 7 dollars but you'd just waste it on food.

You know, you could just get like 40 of those free AOL/Netzero trials...and keep switching.
