I'm looking to build NNR to be even better. It's still in it's developmental stages, but with steady pace of work production it should be ready for testing. Before that can be completed though, some members are needed:

Programmers.

Work still needs to be done, so the more programmers that there are the faster the game can move along. If you're interested, contact me, all my contact info is on my member page. The current progress by the artist's are currently on the forums, http://narutoninjarevolution.freeforums.org/ pixel-art-f11.html.

I cannot offer monetary compensation at this time, but I am willing to donate whenever I do receive funds.
Going to look back at this post in two months when you have quit the project. When was the last time of you seen a person finish an original anime game and its still being put online at least monthly? Last one was probably Naruto Next Generation.

Original anime games don't exist because they are almost always based off of an already-existing anime. How is that original?

Why does this argument always come up? It's original in the sense that it's not completely based off the show, and it has ideas that aren't used in the Anime.

No. Original always, ALWAYS seems to come from the fact that their source and icons are "100% original" which is nothing to brag about at all. Anime games are not original, they are anime-based.

In that case any anime game with original coding and icons is 100% original by that logic.
Anime games are fan-games. There's nothing wrong with that. Where the problem arises is that the BYOND Anime community has the notion that calling their game "Original" will attract a wider audience. When was the last time you heard/read an add for a commercial game which advertised itself as "Original" or "Using Original Graphics/Code". You don't, because that isn't a selling point.

I'm not trying to discourage people from making original games, but this comes up time and time again. What makes a game original is innovation. How does a game do things better than its predecessors and competition? What unique experience will a player get from spending time on your game, as opposed to another game?

Now I would like to ask where this is coming from? I know the Anime community is relatively young and therefore inherently immature, but there is no reason you should be bashing someone who is showing dedication to a project. People around BYOND --especially in BYOND Anime-- seem to feel that the point of BYOND is to see who can come up with the bigger insult. It isn't. The author here is working on a game that he's dedicated to. I'm not going to say whether or not anything in it is ripped*, but he should be congratulated for his work and dedication so far.

On that note, I would like to wish the author and his team the best of luck with their project.

* ripped - stolen directly from another BYOND game and not developed by the team or approved for use by the team by the original author

Anime games can be original just like space opera games can be. Genre is a tool, not a constraint on innovation.
