Leaderboards!

What's next for Toy Tanks?
Welp, as F0lak and I have hinted to, we're releasing v1.1 tomorrow. Here's the list of things that are going to be included in the update:

* Recreated vector-movement system! [Needs fine-tuning.]
* 2 new maps! [Done.]
* 2 new tilesets! [Done] Delayed, sorry! ):
* Powerups! [Almost done.]
* Leaderboards! [Done.]
* Various bug fixes. [Hopefully done.]
* Forums!

I will edit this post when things get finished, and I'll make a new post when the version becomes Stable.

Remember to follow this blog for updates, favorite Toy Tanks to boost its ranking and comment on this post about what you think! :D

What? Toy Tanks post without link to the hub?...

...That's strange. I put a "talking about [blank] game" on this post and for some reason it disappears. If it hadn't disappeared there would've been a link at the top! D:
Adding a new one now.
Yeah, but that didn't fit with the times. (:
Is the random areas where we got stuck fixed?
It will be in version 1.1. We're trying to even out a few of the last bugs in Pixel movement! (:
Alright, awesome!
That should look better! ;D
Very awesome. Very cool.
Oasiscircle and F0lak: Tremendous progress guys. I haven't seen the changes personally, but the features you are adding are spot on. This game has such a high ceiling for success.

Quick question: how feasible would it be to have multiple arenas available on a single server? I would figure that it could simply be just a tax server side -- the client would only have to worry about redrawing the arena in focus. Maybe some hit on the responsiveness of your current system... maybe.

It would be very possible. But at it's current demanding taxation upon the host. (Having 0.1 tick_lag for the smoothness of the game requires a lot of calculations per second) I have a feeling it wouldn't be as feasible for many people to host it.

I could look into creating something like that, but I really do believe that it would be best if people simply hosted more servers. (:

I haven't played the game, but a framerate of 100 fps seems unnecessarily high. I understand why the default 10 fps isn't sufficient, but people will stop seeing much of a difference after ~50 fps.
