Hello everyone, Gary here again for another Delve update! (:
Today we have: Signs and Locks.

Signs will be used to show important information that could be needed during playthroughs of dungeons, such as helpful advice or just indicators of what floor you're on. Either way, I think they look pretty neat and are just a nice touch to the game. I made sure to leave plenty of room so that each sign could be packed with information if it needed to be. I've chosen the Spacebar to be the default "A thing is here, and so now I do a thing." key, and it will be used for flicking levers, pushing buttons, and other miscellaneous jobs that aren't assigned to a certain key by the player.

I've also implemented Locks, which can be triggered in a variety of different ways. The one seen in the video is a Moon lock, in which the player must shine light upon a Moon tile to open up the Lock. Because Locks have a variety of triggers, I've set them up to have a universal "tag" that if any triggerable object goes off and calls for that tag, it will unlock that tagged Lock. (If that makes any sense.) This will also give way to a much easier time setting up rooms in the Custom Dungeon Creator, but that's a ways off. ;)

Anyway, here's the video for this update:
As always, watching that real Youtube video has better video quality.

And again, because this CSS is still too damn amazing, thanks to Teka123!
He's flippin' awesome!

That's all for today's update, see you guys tomorrow for more! Follow this site for more updates and post in the forums about anything you might want to ask (You don't need to register an account if you have a BYOND account! :P) or leave a comment here!
Eh. . . :( How'd you get the movement like that, I find it to be very awesome looking.

Read up on Pixel-Movement, or check out Forum_Account's pixel movement library. His work is really nice, a great place to get started if you're wondering how it works! (:

I made mine myself, but his is a lot nicer, haha. (:

Thanks! :D
Are the puzzles manually or procedurally generated?
Cool! :P

Manual at the moment. I'm not sure if I will procedurally generate them.. but I would like to give Players the ability to create their own in an Editor along with levels that I create for the people.

Procedural generation would be awesome, but it'd be a lot more difficult than simply generating islands, like I'm used to... But I suppose I could give it a shot later on. :)
lol... The sideways mushroom in your CSS... Teka... lol.

A dirty mind you have.
I actually did all the images. And I believe that you're looking at the steeple of a church, not a mushroom.

Your steeple is quite crooked. You should get that checked out.

I know you're trying to be sexual with this, but the church itself in on an incline so.. yeah.

I shouldn't even pay attention to comments like that. >_>
Yeah, yeah. :P

I have to let my inner kid out sometimes, otherwise I would be a boring ol' stick-in-the-mud my whole life. Haha.
Tsfreaks, please stop. It's not funny, no one's laughing. It's simply immature, and I don't want it on my blog.
I'm simply pointing out that you have something questionable on your page and may want to reconsider the design. Don't come at me like it was a crime to point out the obvious.

It was and will be funny and people will laugh which is fine.

immature... really? Only if your perspective is that of a stuck up female.
It is blatantly funny to anyone with a sense of humor lol.

This is a great Css, and if you hadn't mentioned that unusual shape, then someone else is bound to have, Everyone does it, u see something which has an uncanny shape to something else, it can't be helped. It's not immature to see something and tell someone what you saw, i'll admit when i saw it i did chuckle a little, no need to find any harm from someone pointing something out.
Nice css, Great development keep it up, and Oasis chill, it's only people commenting on something which is quite apparent.

Also i wonder why, TS only mentioned it once, then you had a conversation with Albro1 about the church and then suddenly you target TS again out of the blue? unless you decided to delete some of his comments?

P.s the files don't work?
Lol Ts i had no part in the actually GFX! :O i only did the code side of it :), but lol, i didn't see that before :P

Brilliant video Oasis, i really think you are one amazing unique developer, even toy tanks was great, you make some very well thought out and professional system's.

Keep up the great work :)
