Linear, or Nonlinear? That is the question.

For anyone who sees this topic and is not totally familiar with these two I suggest using wikipedia here.

Anyways this has always been something I have asked RPG fans so I figure I'd bring it here for anyone's thoughts and opinions on the two.

With me personally I feel as though Linear is good for older fashion RPGs from the past, and Non-Linear seems to provide more variety for the user.

Of course I also think that it also depends on the game's theme, and objectives.

What are your thoughts?
