I mean, I don't know who's responsible for shutting down all the Dragon Ball games, but I applaud them. I had emailed FUNimation about a week ago and got a reply from David Andrews who'd said their support team received my email regarding Anime games (Falacy's mainly) using their intellectual property, in which he said he had forwarded it to their legal team. I don't know for sure if that had anything to do with it, but I'd like to think so.
Point being all those trashy games are gone for the better, Falacy's games to be specific. Now, if only we could do something about those Naruto games...

Since Tom obviously had no interest in stopping anime fan games from selling subscriptions (Falacy's cocky "donation" argument was such utter bullshit by the way) He has let them slide by for years, for who knows what reason. So I'm glad you stepped up and did it.
No matter what people think, games like that which were profiting off of a stolen IP are absolutely the reason for the Cease and Desist. No way in hell any of the hubs would have made the radar otherwise. It's good timing for somebody to step in and turn those offenders in as well, since the site redesign more or less covered BYOND's ass. Now we'll just have to deal with RAGEEE from anime kids for a couple weeks and the site will get a bit less traffic. I consider that a much better alternative then being sued. | |
Honestly, I agree with the shutdown of some of the games mentioned(Falacy). But I still liked DBZHU, even if Falacy(Like Dragonn) broke copyright law.
If it were possible to go back in time and make them NOT put in payment stuff, I would have been pissed. But Im pissed at Falacy for his idiocy, not at Silkwizard or FUNimation. On the other hand, some games werent exactly ripped or breaking copyright law. (DragginBallz) But they werent good anyways. Of course, BYOND removed a crapload of Anime games I did enjoy that were new and upcoming....Excuses excuses... | |
