Lately my game has run into problems when 30 or so people set their configure delays to 0, and lag the crap out of all the other players.

Is there some way to forcibly dsisable this .configure delay things so that we can play?

Using .configure delay does not cause lag.

Well it does according to my host. He says that it's crashing the server...

When BYOND automatically increases it and people set it right back to 0, I believe it can cause things to kind of freeze up.

From what I thought, BYOND increases it automatically when the host cannot accept and handle so much data at one time, so it increases the delay of messages sent to the host, allowing time for it to handle everything. If everyone instantly sets it back down to 0, then everything comes swarming in at the host again, slowing things down.

Then again, I could be completely wrong.
