Yo.

While Elation is gone, Thorg and I will be updating daily (I know it's not as frequent as usual).

Today's topic: Altruism!

I'd say that altruism practically never occurs in real life, as there is always some form of reward for the benificent behaviour. Even if there is no form of external reward, such as money or praise, there is the internal reward of the 'feel-good factor' for having helped someone. Therefore, it is almost impossible that someone should exhibit completely selfless behaviour.

What do you think?
i dont think, i just eat sleep breathe and masturbate when told to, just like my perolle officer says i should.
Nah, I find it that doing good "deads" causes me some forum of bad luck. No good dead goes unpunshied =)

People tell you to masturbate? What the fuck?
I try to be as virtuous as possible.

As far as altriusm is concerned, it's not the fact that you get a reward. It's the fact that you're not trying to get it. So I could give away money to someone and know that I might feel good about it later, but that doesn't mean my reason for doing it is to feel good.
Yeah, I agree with DeathAwaitsU.

Typically, fucking is not involved in the process, no.
omg crispy said a bad word lol

edit: please don't pull a digi on me! his words are so hurtful! :(
I didn't know it was called altruism, but yes, this idea has crossed my mind. I agree, people always have some sort of reason for helping others, whether it be money, praise, feeling good, or a necessity to be admitted somewhere, or for bragging rights. Yeah, I wonder if you could ultimately do something selflessly.
