Here's an idea for game development: small teams of developers, say 5 for each team, each start on a new game on day 1. Every 5 days, the projects switch hands, with everybody working on a teammember's project that he or she has not worked on yet. At the end of 25 days, each project has been worked on by each of the team members -- and at that time, the projects are frozen and judged. The teams are then scored based on the average quality of the games produced.

Anybody want to start planning a competition like this? I think it would be fun.
Interesting idea. Of course, finding said developers and getting them to waste their time would be the hard part.

Not really. All you need is a prize. The real hard part will be enforcing the rules. Now, if I'm following you correctly, it sounds like the games will be circulated within each group. If that's true, then it can be assume the group members are friends and will be in contact during the contest. What's to stop someone from working on a game that was passed on?
Matchmaking sound good?

I'd love to do this. This is a good idea to get some new material on here.

Yeah, there isn't much you could do about cheating. In that spirit, the contest might encourage teams to pass the projects amongst themselves but not mandate it as such, allowing teams to find what the best way of structuring themselves is.
