We're going to be taking a break from development of DBOII for a month or two. I'm in my final quarter of college, needless to say ive got to focus on finishing, as are other members of the team.

We'll no doubt be back during the summer with a ton of free time.
So sad =(.. A crappy anime game is having to hult production.. I was looking forward to more un-original ideas and even more ripped scripts.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

You guys were working on this? It's been a few years, I thought you would have been done, even at a snail's pace.

Trolling aside, I'm serious. Nobody can tell the difference between you guys taking a nap, and not taking one.
I was joking. Why don't you fags stop bashing good production.

Lolwat?
Do you even attempt to keep up with development information? If no, leave. Otherwise, you are quite inept.

No, go play a rip.

Improper execution of the English language there. I understand you want to sound smart, but "If. Otherwise." is a poor attempt to do so.

And yes, I've kept up. See how long they've been working on the game, and with a straight face tell me the team taking a 2 month break will matter.
How long does it take to make a game like this? It can't be that complicated. The hub for this game has been there for 4 years and it's -still- not ready for the community, yet there's been all this hype over it.
You mean you guys werent taking a hiatus before?
Yeah yeah, cry cry, complain complain.

Deal with it.

I stopped hyping dbo2 a long time ago. If you're displeased at the game and/or its pace, then by all means, disregard it.

@ Disturbed Puppy:
Nope, a hiatus does not matter in the least. It will get done when it gets done, not when you or anyone else wants it to be. It is what it is.

If our progress is so taxing to anyone reading this, please, make a dragonball game. Id be happy to play it.

I'm not displeased with it in any way, nor am I really following its progress. However, when you have a team of three programmers and three pixel artists and four years, I would expect a little more out of something like a BYOND Dragonball game. When I see what I see, it looks like your team isn't taking this game as seriously as it looks like you are. I'm just writing down my speculations here. Take all the hiatuses you desire.

If i had the team i have now 4 years ago, then yeah, id be pretty POed if the game wasnt out by now. But considering that isnt the case, and seeing as ive had to deal with programmers who either didnt do anything and were saying they did//were not skilled enough/ditched/quit and left me with no programming, until last september(same for the artists), I couldnt care less how long it takes to get the game out, as long as it does get released. I could just as easily have just dropped the game each time that happened. But instead, i kept working on it however i could, while looking for people to build this game with. This is the main reason i stopped hyping this game.

Because it is totally easy to find a skillful, hardworking programmer to work on a fan game for free. This is so evident, with all the brilliantly fun fan games on the site.

But hey, with all the complaining going on over our project, it seems we are better off dropping the project right? I would if we were building the game just for the community, thats for sure.(this last paragraph was not directed at you Fugsnarf)

TLDR: We're still working on the game, whether you guys want us to or not, and we will release the game, whether you want us to or not, when we want to release the game, when we complete what we want to complete for the game.
I'm really the only one working on my game, and I've only been working on it for a month. So I'd hope you guys have a bit more progress than me at this point, as Fugsnarf pointed out at how many people you have working on this.
Never the less, good luck.
The game is fun though, no doubts about that.

I've never even been able to play it yet. It looks pretty well along in development from the screenshots on the hub. I would expect it to be in a stage that it could be publicly hosted, even during this hiatus.

I have played it, and I quite enjoyed my time while doing so.

What you expect isn't the teams concern. Neither is what I expect and what everyone else expects. They're not working to our expectations, they're working on their own. And if they feel they're not yet ready for a public release, that's entirely their prerogative. You, much like myself, or anyone else, has absolutely no say in their design decisions.
