The new experience kinda sucks. You launch a game only to find yourself in the pager on the description tab. The first time this happened, I was lost and didn't understand what was happening. I later realized that I had to click the Play tab which was lame. When I attempted to play games that apparently don't exist or something, there was no play tab and no error so I'm sitting there confused about what to do.

Ideally, you popup the pager to show a downloading animation but you do this to get the players invested by showing them all the community options for the game. If your going to make launching a game a multi-step process, make sure the steps have value.

Make sure the game designer has some control over what the player see's during this experience.

When the 30 second boring ad came up, I was like uhg. When I launched a second game and it was much shorter, that was better. Not a fan of this at all. Do you really get paid the longer the ad is displayed? I would quickly recommend that newer players aren't subjected to this terrible crime of humanity and the longer they play the longer the ad gets. I would say the time should reset per game until the player latches on to something that gets them coming back. Dealing with 30 second ads and opening crappy games is just begging them to go find something else.
I do not think BYOND has any control over what type of ad shows, nor do I think they have any control over the length of the ad. I am pretty sure they use google ads or something of that sort.
