I ran out of my medication on Wednesday, and haven't been able to refill it. And I won't be able to get it refilled until Monday. Now I'm starting to go through withdrawal, so I'm feeling paranoid, depressed, and physically ill, along with being tired despite having slept all day. FUN. FUN. FUN. FUN. FUN.
Should probably think about reducing your dosage.
Why?
I assume lowering the dosage would help ease you out of the addiction, rather than going from the full dosage to nothing instantly. That's how just about every addiction works.
... I'm not trying to stop taking the medication, though. I'm getting a refill Monday, and this is the basic necessary dosage for it to have any effect at all.
Are you saying lowering the dosage won't work just because your doctor said so, or because you've tried taking a lower dosage and saw for yourself?

My doctor told me I needed to take two oxycodone ( or hydro, can't remember which one they gave me ), but I started taking one because of a swollen-throat side effect and it still got rid of the pain just fine.
It was more than likely hydrocodone, I can't imagine them prescribing oxycodone for a swollen throat..

Also, why the hell are they giving you opiates for a sore throat anyone? That's retarded.

No, you read it wrong. The medication was for dentist surgery. The swollen-throat was a side-effect, so I stopped taking two and started taking one to see if I stopped experiencing the swollen-throat, and I did.

If they found out someone was giving out hydrocodone for swollen throats, they'd be fired in a heart beat.
Erm... this is an SSRI. For depression. I know for a fact it doesn't work, because I had taken 10mg, 20mg, and 40mg and felt nothing. When I was bumped up to 60mg it started helping right away. It being an anti-depressant is the reason I'm starting to feel depressed.
