Keywords: diamond, steel
Which of these elements are the strongest? VS the steel and diamond, which of these would brake if they clashed? What outcome of the destruction would be of the two?

I am asking you which is stronger! Please don't just tell me! Please give me detail of this because google sucks, lol.

Why do i need to know this? That is only of my concern. I only wish to know so i can be sure that i pick the best out of the two so that i have as close to perfection for what i desire from the outcome of the strength of these two elements.

(What about black diamond? That also)

Help me out please?

Thank You.

Diamond = Hardest Mineral. Diamond needs Diamond to scratch.
Diamond.
Diamond.
Diamond is the hardest mineral that we know of - Reason it's the only mineral that can be classed as a 10 on Moh's Hardness Scale because the only thing that scratches diamond is diamond.

Steel is actually a reasonably soft mineral, being placed at 4 on Moh's Scale.
Steel is the more practical.
A diamond sword, by the way, would have almost the same chances of shattering as a glass sword when struck against a rock.
Is there any proof to that theory, Toadfish?

Not a theory - It's a fact.
The thinner something is - the weaker it is. And with Diamond being crystalline(has to do with atom and compound arrangement) it will shatter easier than a solid mineral(i.e. steel).
Diamond is stronger cause I said.
lol
What about black diamond? I seen a small sentence somewhere about it being stronger than a regular diamond.
There are three things you might call a "black diamond":

- Anthracite
- Carbonado
- A black synthetic diamond

Some are less brittle than the others but steel is the more practical nonetheless.
Ok, Thank you for your help. It's much appreciated.
i hear styrofoam is pretty durable
lol
