So I'm not sure if this is off topic or not, but since it's about BYOND I thought this may be the best place for it.

Anyways I've been on BYOND since 2004 off and on. For the first two years I loved BYOND, then as I got older it didn't attract me as much. I tried the programming side (rips) and realised after a year I didn't want to be known as a "ripper", being young and lazy at the time, I was exactly that mainly due to influence of the people i met. Still I am to blame.

Now 6-7 years later, I've recently returned. All my previous knowledge has mainly gone and I'm trying again. I've Pretty much fallen in love with BYOND again. Not due to others games, but due to me enjoying the programming aspect. Which I have a lot more appreciaten for now. I'm now 22, whereas when I joined I was 13. I'll never be the best, but damn it feels good to just do it my own way.

Have any of you guys ever fallen out of love with BYOND and come back again? Something similiar to my story maybe? Let me know.

P.S. Sorry if it's in the wrong section. Next month I shall also be buying a memebership too (about time)
I feel the same way minus working on rips, I'm loving it again, so hopefully I'll actually finish a project this time.
You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

Honestly, I leave anywhere from a couple weeks to years at a time. I always come back though... I just love the language, and every so often I get the need to make something with it. So I update my shitty Bleach game (that people still play, for whatever reason), get bored, then leave again. This time, I've been back for roughly two months and I've actually started working on an original game... but I've learned from experience that it's bad to talk about early projects, so I'll just leave it at that.
