Just beat Mass Effect 2 as paragon, and while I had a great experience with the story, I am a little sad that some of the depth of gameplay featured by the original has been stripped. Absent are much of the rpg elements, and the squad control mechanism feels lacking. Telling my players what to do felt like trying to tell children what to do after recess, lots of acknowledgments, but little in the way of following my instructions.

Still, can't wait to see what impact my decisions will have on the Mass Effect universe via the third installment.
I felt that the squad controls in ME2 were much more streamlined than in ME1.

In ME1, I had to micromanage my squadmembers so that they wouldn't get stuck in some retarded spot and so that I could always be sure that I had covering fire.

In ME2, I could order my squadmembers around to better positions and whatnot, and when I moved up they would also move accordingly in an intelligent manner.

What disappointed me in ME2 is that there really wasn't much development as far as the overall plot goes.

**Spoiler Alert**
I suppose you could argue that depending on how you decided to end the game that the humans/alliance are better equipped to deal with the Reapers, but in the end the Reapers are still out there and there isn't much that can be done to stop them as of yet.
