So I've been reading Neil Gaiman's Sandman series lately, and of course that's gotten me in a very metaphorical and lyrical sort of mindset. The mood's taken me to try and finally start a game of Nobilis. I'd like to get it started here on BYOND if I could, and preferably stir up some activity in the guild at the same time.

For those of you unsure of what Nobilis is, I'll do my best to summarize. Nobilis is a tabletop roleplaying game that frames its players as the personification of an abstract concept (time, death, movies, poetry, Ramen Cup Noodles, etc.) The powerscale is on a demi-god level, so combat is much less of a focal point (though still very present). While there is much potential for action, the game's setting also offers a pleasantly intricate social/political environment to roleplay in.

That's really a very poor description of what's actually an incredible piece of literature. I recommend you read the Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobilis) for a more extensive explanation of things.

Anyway, I want to know if any of you guys might be interested in perhaps starting up a small campaign. I'd be acting as the Hollyhock God (DM/GM/Storyteller/Keeper/Referee), so that position's covered. I just need some players to terrori...er, play with.

If you have any questions about the game itself or the potential campaign, I'd love to answer them. I have a digital copy of the book in PDF format I don't mind distributing to players. Gameplay would probably be done on BYOND Tabletop, but if schedules don't permit I have no qualms keeping it in the forums.
