Is there a sleep() command for AcriontScript?

_ryan
Short Answer: No.

I tend to use empty frames as sleeps...and, if making a function that times something, have a movieclip that goes forwards one frame, then counts up one, then goes back to the start and through that frame again, counts up one, until it gets to the amount it needs, then does something else.
Long Answer: Yes.

It's called set interval and apparantly it's a pig to use, but that's only something one person said on some distant help forum somewhere on google. It'd probably be easy enough but it's multiple lines of code, it's complex as I think you have to take into account the frames continuing, or something...

Either way, it's no where near as simple as sleep(). It's just the way flash works.
You were too late to answer.

You lose.

Think it over. If you need any help, contact me. I like to think I know what I'm doing when it comes to flash, and actionscript!
