Most game in the anime are full of RIPS now and how sad that most people are leaking sources nowadays. I remember back in the old days when all the games were original, there were few rips though.

So Let see, First stage of rip was Dragonball Z Zeta then Elysium... a year later or months, Naruto NSB... and WOTS.. Then few months later again... Bleach Revolution or something was released..it started the rip of bleach then later BSOC... So sad Lol... No matter how much rip are made, all of them are the same.... If i were them , id just stick with originals instead of some "Fast leveling" or whatsoever.

Personally. I think Byond actually wants the Rips here.

byond should make time or some effort on it, since it isnt only games being ripped its the iconers graphics now also. which are being ripped, it has to end somewere. people and joining a game to extract a games .rsc icons and distribute them to others or use them in there own games

its gotten to the point now were most just say "Why bother trying to make a game have top quality gfx if some a** is just going to steal them"

Just leave them alone. BYOND Anime keeps the people who just want their 15 minutes of fame in one area. Seeing how no other Genre really has this problem, why don't you just stay away from BYOND Anime? Wouldn't that solve your problem? It's been complained about many many times before, but you don't realize that the 4 billion copies of the anime games are just bringing in more money for BYOND in the end, so just live and let live.

That's easier said than done, the BYOND team is volunteers and most of us have better things to spend our spare time on than finding and deleting rips. There's not much else we can do with the manpower and resources we have.

I really don't see what everyone's problem is. Just leave them alone, no one's forcing you to play those games. And now they don't even get in your way when you search for non-anime games.

You should feel lucky BYOND even provides the hub. I don't see why they need to.

I'm tired of hearing people bitch about rips. Just shut up about it, there is a very small amount of staff members to even do such a project. As for icons and ripping, it's too hard to tell who's icons are official and who's aren't. If you don't like rips, don't play them.

Before we go bounding away on anything, we need more staff. The active and helpful people in the forums should be given temporary minor staff powers and they should see how they do.

I don't care much about rips on the hub, but as someone who tries to be helpful on the developer forums, I'm getting sick of people posting huge chunks of ripped code and complaining that their slightly modified versions don't work right. There's a shortage of people who actually want to learn to write their own code nowadays and that's what irks me.

I also had the same thoughts as Mikau. I don't really know if any rips at all that aren't anime games. I've never seen people ripping graphics from Darke Dungeon and making Darke Dungeon rips, or Last Robot Standing or Incursion rips, or really any rips of original games. I see imitations, but not rips. So if you don't want more rips, quit making anime games!

yes 70% is anime, but there are some games that are not anime that are starting to get ripped, which i have proven many times and they have all been ingored, even when provideing text and images as evidence its dismissed, as an iconer im sick and tired of ppl stealing my icons and useing them or releaseing them under there name claming there made by them, i spent every day createing work all for nothing, and yes some of us are annoyed, since we pay for byond membership that fund the site we expect some peace of mind, granted the staff maybe small, but many will be willing to do the simple job or finding those responsible of stealing work and releaseing it to others. and yes i do agree more original games need to be made insted of anime games. but i know afew iconers who just cannot be bothered to make the icons since our work is not valued or respected, simpley just stole by pathetic wannabes

You want a way around having your work stolen? Easy. When you create something, publish it on your blog openly. How can you steal something that is openly announced, given away freely, and everyone knows it's yours? Simple, if it's seen in any game, people will know it's yours, and you'll have the credit due.

That worked for me too. When my graphics were purchase-only, I saw them stolen and re-posted all over the place. But after I put them up for public download on my website, I haven't even seen anyone else using them. :P

I like to think of myself as part of the 40% =P.

Foomer, I used some of those in the past if that means anything. And I believe Chatters did as well.
