<B>To Leave or not to leave that is the question in Off Topic

It seems that almost every day i find myself practicly begging a friend not to leave byond but why i ask? in most games i cant even stay there for a moment without being insulted? well since its clear no one wants me to stay on Byond im going to Limit my Byond use to a small amount making me rarly ever on, I will only visit once in a long time to check the new games

Don't view BYOND as a community. View BYOND as a program. If you don't like the community, who cares, don't visit it. BYOND is a language, and shouldn't be judged by the community around it. If you want to build games with BYOND, go ahead. You don't need to hang around the community to use the program. (Turn off pager and ignore the hub.)

You're pretty wrong here my friend.

Also Sagu, as Foomer stated, if people don't want you, ignor them...Its as simple as that. You have friends here whether it be many or not it doesn't matter. Use BYOND for a time to play/create games for not just yourself but for others.

Have a think about this and try to realise that just because many people insult you to make you leave is stupid. If you leave, they win, if not, they will/should stop bugging and pestering you as they will find out that you wont take their verbal abuse.

Just ignor the people who you hate or hate you. Stick with your friends on here and enjoy yourself if possible.

Just afew words from me here ok.

Have a nice day and consider staying with BYOND.

Why would anyone leave based on the opinions of others? Worse, why would someone assume that people have any opinions of them whatsoever, let alone hostile ones?

Up until this point, I had never even heard of you, Sagu. What's more, I had hardly heard of Da_Rushyo -- I'm admittedly prejudiced against him for making a DBZ game, but I had no opinions of him whatsoever.

If you get insulted when you enter a game, then don't enter that game. If you want to leave everything, then leave. But, trust me, if anyone is being crude or violent to you, then they're the ones that should be leaving (unless, of course, you were crude and violent to them first -- in that case, you get what you deserve). By leaving, you only let them know that they've won.

My major point is that you shouldn't let opinions of anyone here reflect upon anything you have. But make sure to take a long hard look at what you have and see if their complaints are justified. Also remember that it usually takes a majority to change something in this society.


Look at me: I sure as hell haven't. I've taken advice from people when I realised I was clearly in the wrong (or if they clearly had more experience than me in that field), but never have I bent in the face of adversity (i.e. people trying to make me look bad without giving any valid reason).
