Hey guys, I got an e-mail from a friend and she wants me to translate something from German... the problem is I can't find a good translator that gives me an understandable translation. So if you speak German would you please be able to translate this for me.

I know it isn't really a happy message, but that's all right. I need to know what it means. thanks

that is what I got, it jumps all over the place... what is going on between us is that we were dating, then she broke up with me to go to her ex, now she sent me this e-mail... that doesn't make much sense to me...

We both want to learn German, so she sent me an e-mail saying

I actually agree, she probably did do that, see how "that's" and "I'm" are not in German. She probably didn't realize that she put contractions in there...

I noticed that too... I did a word for word translation too... I got something completely making no sense...

Well I am studying Spanish in school, and it is hard to do a direct translation of Spanish to English. So it might be the same thing.

I think it is a difficult thing.. it is hard to know exactly what one person was implying when there are many different ways to have one word translated...

Sounds to me like she wants hook back up with you. I could be wrong on that, but it seems that way. Perhaps she didn't want her new boyfriend to find out what she was saying to you from reading her emails.

I wish that was the case Schoobert... but that isn't it. She said in the e-mail she wanted me to use the internet to find out what it said. She also said it was German. Her boyfriend is an ex that I actually stole her away from... it is a very long and confusing story which I don't understand why she went back to him, so I don't want to get into it right now... but thanks for the input.

"Deutsche" I believe it is, is German for "German." I used to hang out with Germans in a German channel on this program I had found before.

Anyway, most translators translate German pretty well compared to other languages- the syntax of German and English are virtually identical. English IS basically German with French tacked on. | |

I just went ahead and ran it through a translator, and edited it just a BIT to make it make sense. I came up with this:
