Alright, I've been having self conflicted issues over resetting my computer, however, I don't have the restore disk for my Windows Vista Home Premium.
Here's where my issue is.

While searching for the restore disk of which I likely lost while moving last summer, I found a Windows XP Professional disk.
I simply wanted to reset my Operating System, however, XP seems like it would be the better choice.

The downside to this is that I'd much rather reset my Vista, rather than go to XP. Therefore, If anybody knows a program, or trick to reset without the disk, please tell me.

Otherwise, tell me if I should just put up with my issues, or Go to XP.

Resetting tricks? You mean reformatting? You need the re-installation CD... What exactly is your problem? A trojan? You screwed up your settings? If it's just a setting issue, you can rollback (don't ask me I never owned Vista and do not use Windows much anymore, but I'm sure it's not trivial)
I use Windows 7... I really like it. I would get that.

Not quite an issue.
I've just lost alot of programs, made useless folders, and such over the past couple years.

There are a few system errors from when I started hacking my system32. Those are easily fixable.

Mainly just want to do this to re-organize myself.

You need the CD to reformat then.

I know ubuntu has a "Janitor" program to clean the OS like new but I rather reformat and prevent any bugs that program may contain. Dunno if Windows has anything similar.

If you want to buy another Vista CD, I'd recommend buying Windows 7 though, I hear it is much better.

Yeah, I plan on buying it when I have the money. Just need something more organized to hold me over.
If you need a link to windows 7 iso. Ask me.
Before you 'reset' anything you might want to make sure you have a serial for the OS you intend to install.
I would honestly go with XP for now.
If you must have your Vista, you can create a boot image which'll load you into your Vista. Google around how you go about that.
To get Win7, you'll need to make sure your "computer is compatible" but that's not so hard to follow through with.

I've owned all three OS's at one point.
Gave my Win7 away, still own my Vista Install CD, and I'm using WinXP at the moment and I'm in no hurry to dump the WinXP.
