Nice job stereo-typing yourself XD.

You do need to have decent scores to compete with other students that want to go there. Not to mention I may think about transferring to some other college. Even so, having a high scores always looks good for employers.

Please stop trolling.

No offense, but if you can't even spell 'college' right I don't think you should be thinking about attending one just yet.

Dude.....that was rude....not every single person is a spelling master and spells words right every single time. Some people like me suck in english but are really good in math. Just like the retarted people who can't do normal things but are crazy good at piano, or math, or ect. One of these guys memorized pie to about 100,000 places. He went 5 hours streight and got bored and quit, with mathmaticians checking that he was getting them right the whole time.

Thats the same situation here.

You memorised pi to 100,000 places?

So let me get this straight - you're claiming that Nadrew is rude for pointing out that the original poster apparently can't spell a simple seven-letter word, and then you go and describe sufferers of autism-spectrum disorders (Which I believe you're referring to) as 'retards' (Well, 'retarts', but I'll work on what you were trying to say, rather then what you actually said).

I think that makes you not only a hypocrite, but a bigoted ass. People with mental health issues are, guess what, people. And autism isn't even considered a mental health issue by some people. In short - don't be mean.

No. I didn't. I was meaning the "suck in english and great in math".

66% isn't a horrible score?

Welcome to mediocrity.

66% is really bad. Sheesh. Even in english I get at least 70%s or higher.

I wasn't saying anything against anyone with a mental handicap, but if you're planning on going to college you need at least decent English AND Math skills, not just one or the other.
In response to Nadrew (#30)
Nad, I wasn't replying to you. I was replying to FriesOfDoom. :P

Oh I know, I replied to the wrong post, but still...what I said stands.

A 1600 is an average of around a 530(out of 800) on each section. For University of Maryland which is a great school, you need a 580 on your math, and a 600 on your verbal, which is only a couple more questions right about a 530. So, 530 is a pretty decent score.

The SAT isn't graded on a % scale.
In response to Nadrew (#3)
Many community colleges have you take placement tests for English and Math. If you fail the placement test, they will put you in a low general education English class to build your vocabulary or whatnot. I think I've mentioned it before, but I've known a good amount of people who don't spell all that great and are very intelligent people.
In response to SSJ2GohanDBGT (#35)
That's a very good point. You do not have to be educated to be an intellectual. Observation is everything, and I don't really think that colleges should base your acceptance on your English skills. You can be taught English at any point.
In response to Jp (#26)
He clearly said he wasn't good at English, I don't think he was trying to be mean or rude. He just knew no other way to describe them. I suppose mentally-challenged is a common, simple way to refer to them, but it wasn't in his mind.
