I've got a cold :( which is why when I went to work this morning at 11 my boss sent me home again because when I tried to talk, I sounded like a horses backside.

I went back to work at 6 to prepare the store for closing with one of the Team Leaders, Graeme. So, 8pm rolls up and we close the store down and do the cash up. This involves emptying all the tills of their cash and storing it all in the cash office safe.

After this, we head upstairs and send off the banking report for the end of day sales. *Beat budget by 24k today! Yay!*

Anyway, to exit the store we have to arm the Warehouse alarm systems. The alarm system consists of 12 screamers, 5 wailers, 4 air sirens and 2 main bells. So there we are, we've armed the alarm systems and have left the store. I'm in my car, about to head off home when Graeme comes running over to me, stating he's left his car keys in his locker in the staff lobby upstairs. So we head back over to the back exit and open it up. Graeme enters his security pin back into the system, and it returns negative, setting every single bloody alarm off in the store! The noise is so loud, it feels like my head is going to explode. We try to enter his pin over and over and it keeps declining.

So I get on the phone to the Store Manager, who says Graeme's security un-lock pin expired yesterday! The next minute, the bloody building is surrounded by local police and security.

I hate the Warehouse. I was 2 hours late getting home. :(
LOL oh man I diddn't think the WareHouse had THAT many alarms...jeez man that's insane. What city do you live in, Sinyc? Wellington? Auckland? I've never heard of such a thing...and such a quick response, too.

Yeah, I live in Queenstown. Apparently the guys up at the cafe above us called the cops saying there's someone breaking into the Warehouse. Probably because I went inside with Graeme and left my car running right outside the exit with the lights on and music going. :p

There's a screamer above all the fire exits in the store, wailers on the outside of the building, the two bells in the foyer, and the air sirens in the main part of the building. It was crazy loud. :)

Haha darn that's crazy! But wouldn't you have still been wearing the uniform with your name tag on?..the bright red colours would have stood out, i'm sure.
